Nice clean Hotel in Thamel with all the Trekkers Shops, Money Changers and Restaurants around. The Hotel pick-up as well the staff is great.👍😍We had a great warm welcome at the Reception from Lady Laxmi which showed us also the room. The Owner or Manager was also very helpful with organizing trips or information. Food we also can recommend. At the Looby or the Roof Top Restaurant...the male staff was amazing friendly and served us like kings..thanks to ALL of them. Wifi & TV is also working...we stayed before EBC TREK and afterwards each time 4nights and we come back again in September 2024👍😍..René and Liz at IG: @renepeter57

This is a family run hotel and the hosts and staffs are simply fabulous. They are attentive to the needs of the guests. My luggage didn't arrive on the day of my arrival. They were accommodative and made arrangements to help me to get to the airport the next evening. The free airport pick up Plus breakfast is a bonus. The rooms are clean and the showers are hot. The location is excellent in the middle of Thamel.city centre. It's a short walk of about 15mins to the Durbar Square. Plenty of eateries and shops and money changer nearby. Would definitely recommend to stay here. I would return for my next stay without hesitation.

    You have to say No!

    You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from? However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

    Treekers home provides an excellent accommodation facilities in low cost. Especially, staffs were very helpful and the location of the hotel was also nice. Note: There is a big room to improve the light and bathroom facilities. But it is perfect for those who find low cost hotel in Thamel.

    Why satkar hotel and spa write because of that spa is not available it's very wrong information to people due to all are booking stay with spa facilities is available therefore my suggestion please remove spa word immediately Kathmandu is very good please for visiting

    Mostly stayed in Thamel tourist area and ate at many local spots: House of MoMo, Third Eye, Yok Bar were all great! But careful as some of the menu descriptions can be a little misleading. Ex: I received a 'chicken skewer' meal that was NOTHING like described. It was even missing the skewers. But the staff was extremely helpful and eager to please. The traffic/driving is crazy! Mopeds/motorbikes are high percentage of use, with automobiles being less visible in the high tourist areas. It is REALLY dusty everywhere. Wear a mask or buff if you have allergy/breathing issues. Always carry your own TP if you're not used to using squatty potty's and bidets!

    Thamel is a good location for tourist, shopping and food will totally depend on your choices. Friendly area and lost of money changes and ATM. It's a good place if you like working. Pls ensure that you have a mask as it is a little dusty.

    Historic city even for now, not much modernisation so be prepared. V religious experience for esp hindus and Buddhists, a spiritual city in the main. Few tourist areas are awesome, site seeing around city can be done in a day or two. Taxis not cheap. Out of town tours or taxis are worth for spiritual understanding. Everest flight is a worthy trip but pricey. All in all 3-4 days in city is enough.

    I strongly advise this hotel. The location is perfect, next to Thamel, but in this hotel you don't listen hustle and bustle of the street. It's a quiet place. The staff is very friendly and rooms are good. The breakfast is very good with sweet and salt food served in a tiny quiet garden. Moreover is a cheap hotel :)

    I will give 10 star rating to this hotel for my stay. The best thing in the hotel was their hospitality, their are friendly staffs and the breakfast. The room shower very clean, fast Wi-Fi, and spacious bathroom. The budget Hotel in Kathmandu Thamel, I will book again for my next trip to Ktm.

    The best hotel in Thamel. Staff is kind and accommodating - the best service I’ve had in any hotel! The room is also clean and thoughtfully designed, the perfect place to relax after a hike. Finally, the food in the restaurant was some of the best we had in nepal. Will definitely be back!
