Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was an exceptional value for the price. It worked very well for our family of 4. The beds are very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was amazing. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were great. Highly recommend this hotel for families!

This luxurious AA 4-star hotel is a haven of peace and quiet, on the beautiful shores of Lough Ree, by Athlone Golf Course. The room looked really nice, really nice design. Was very comfortable and great value.
