Staff is exceptionally hospitable and you will notice how much they love their job. They also speak good english,which is helpful for international guests like me. This was my first visit to this place, but I will come back for sure. Especially since I couldn't do all the activities I wanted due to an unexpected amount of snow during my stay. The room itself was fairly large, the kutatsu very comfortable and the futon bed amazing to sleep on. The building itself is several centuries old, so you will get the flair of old japan, which I enjoyed very much, but also be adviced that it gets a bit colder during winter. The surrounding area and village is very tranquil and quiet, ideal to rest and calm down.

The entire experience was much more than expected. The head priest was exceptionally welcoming and inclusive. Extremely patient, generous, and gracious host. He spent a lot of time the following day with us. It is an experience my wife and I will never forget. There is a lot to see of the other temples and sights within walking distance,

Great experience of Japanese onsen, delicious dinner and breakasft buffet, great outdoor onsen, traditional rooms, not crowded. Ice cresm for free, mochi making and happy hour with footbath included. Lots to enjoy!

The staff was super friendly and took care of us from start to finish. They were super accommodating and helped us with our car and bags. The hotel was in a great location; but is maybe better accessed by car if you want to go places. There’s a conbini accessible by foot if needed. Mt Fuji was beautiful from our room and the balcony is shared access for a great view too - we took a lot of pictures! Everything was super clean and they even had a table tennis room! The public onsen hours were long into the night for a convenient night use as well.

The location, room and view from the onsen was amazing, but the food was absolutely exceptional and the kind approach of the host as well.

The private onsen which has an amazing view of Mt Fuji was incredible. The staff were amazing and accommodated us incredibly well. We got very lucky with beautiful weather and views. The meals were incredible and exceeded every expectation.

Very close to Mount Fuji by bus or car. Good city to experience what was Japan decades ago, very laidback. The staff are awesome very helpful and accommodating!
