Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The setting was beautiful with the Madison river running through it. Fire pits were great with provided S’more packets. I would stay again.

The tent cabin was awesome. Everything was down to the smallest detail. My preference of camping is the Marriott, but staying at Under Canvas West Yellowstone was a very close second!

United StatesThere are a lot of tents on the property and they are arranged relatively close together so the sounds of people arriving later in the evening + dogs barking throughout the night made it hard to sleep. May have been bad luck for us or just a reality of camping.
Super fun experience for our family. Staff was very kind and attentive. Communal bonfire in the evening was nice too - lots of travelers bonding over smores. The location was amazing - truly spectacular day and night (the stars!).

United KingdomMore just to highlight it is a tent, so expect it to be chilly overnight/when you wake up!! But we didn't mind that and kind of adds to the camping charm :) Only thing we didn't like was there were a lot of children screaming and running around which slightly detracts from the tranquillity, but that's not really the staff's fault!
Location is stunning, so tranquil and peaceful when you arrive! we stayed in a deluxe tent and was a great experience, tent very spacious and decor really high quality (for a tent!) the staff who checked us in were incredibly helpful and attentive. we had dinner at the restaurant which was great, then sat by the fires and had some wine and smores - so lovely!! We had a comfortable night's sleep and woke up to a beautiful sunrise, would stay again!

United StatesThe bath house is not monitored closely. The towels are stored in a separate room in the middle of the bathrooms. Check to be sure there are towels before you start. It’s frustrating to walk back to your tent to call the front desk asking them to restock. Especially if it’s dark and getting chilly. The bathrooms themselves are not cleaned regularly. It’s up to you to clean the shower, floors and sink before you leave. Remember I said you are camping. This is not like a regular hotel experience. You will get your luggage carried to your tent by the welcoming front desk staff but if you need help when leaving you will need to call the front desk to get someone to load your luggage because the pathways are dirt and your tent is not close to your parked car. Remember I said you are camping!
Clamping is an experience every family should experience with young kids. The fire stove in the tent was great because it got cold! The welcoming staff were family and informative. When you check in you are given a tutorial on what to expect in your tent and at the bath house. If you have never clamped it’s not like anything you would expect. Think more like when you were a kid and you went to summer camp. It’s not primitive camping but it’s close. The walk to the bath house to use the restroom or shower is something you should know especially if you have to go at 3:30 am. Bring a good flashlight! You’re paying a lot of money to “camp out” but you’re making an experience so it can be worth it for one night. The fire pits are a big hit with the kids and the s’mores tasted great.

United StatesPrice and tap down water or chain pull shower was a little frustrating.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. Beds were comfortable. We chose not to use the fire stove and got really cold the first night (I also realized our window was not zipped all the way shut). We survived the 38 degree night and the 2nd night we took them up on hot water bottles to put at the foot of our bed to keep extra warm. All was good then. My kids loved swimming in the stream, but unfortunately the mosquitoes were so bad that my husband and I could not enjoy sitting by the water. My kids also enjoyed the fire pits and smores. They offered open 24hours tent lobby with a night staff if needed, which also provided snacks, coffee, tea, hot coco, clothing items or camp gear for purchases. Extra bathrooms and shower facilities by the lobby were clean and helpful. We only stayed 2 night due to the price. They had a lot of fun activities we just did not get a chance to experience.

SwedenThe road leading to the tents was a bit rough, and the check-in signage could have been clearer – it was a bit confusing at first. Minor issues in an otherwise outstanding experience.
Fantastic location close to Yellowstone. The tents were beautiful and comfortable, offering a great glamping experience. Check-in was smooth with exceptionally friendly and informative staff. Great service and atmosphere overall – highly recommended!

Very friendly professional employees beautiful area it was just VERY cold. We understand yellowstone area gets like that however it was just very cold. Fire wouldn't stay light from all the wind it was blowing it in the tent. Had to open the entrance to clear it. It was alot of money for what you got, and to freeze 2 nights in a row. Nope.

United StatesThe price is higher then I would have liked but you are paying for the experience. The wood fire places in the tents were nice but I would prefer propane heaters. The wood stoves will need to be loaded about every 2-3 hrs. to keep tent warm at night. After hiking all day, it can be rough waking up throughout night to tend a fire.
The location was Beautiful. Great experience for the family to enjoy the "glamping" near Yellowstone Park. The views are great and location right out of the town. The staff was very nice and helpful. The outdoor guest area was nice in the evenings.

FranceHaving done over under canvas, the tent was very cold as not well sealed. A little noisy. ‘Cold’ on the common part of the camp even close to the fire place for Marshmallows. May be due to the fact we should go out to eat for dinner and breakfast ?
The location close to west Yellowstone and the surrounding landscape that is breathtaking ! The equipment in the tent and the possibility to do your own fire as evenings and night are cold ! The restaurant even far is an experience to do once.

United StatesOn the downside, the there isn’t WIFI and the family tents, while spacious and well appointed, have a rustic bathroom experience and can get cold in the morning. It is an upscale campground, so you will hear your neighbors getting up in the morning, even though the tents are substantial and no closer than 50 feet apart.
Very chill and relaxing. No TVs anywhere so evenings were communal with most folks out around the fire pits enjoying S’mores and beverages while listening to the acoustic entertainment. Kids loved being able to run around the property with other kids. The Gallatin River runs next to the property and is a refreshing plunge after a dusty day in the park.
