It was a Beautiful place in the woods . But it failed to say the 250 foot walk was down hill and it was a 250 foot walk up hill.other than that it was a beautiful stay.

Outdoor shower temp was very tough to adjust. Sink was uncovered outdoors in rain, no sink or drain inside, path lighting only worked after sunny days,

Clean, cozy, quite new, nicely built, woodsy character, comfortable bed, nice porch, woods setting, great location near coastal mountain hiking, only 15-20 minutes from coastal villages of Camden and Rockport, equestrian opportunities on site, emergency generator.

We both had trouble getting the outdoor shower to function properly, but maybe that was our fault!

The place was at a lovely horse farm and nicely tucked in the woods. Nice to see this side of Camden, down the long roads behind the town. It is a sweet little fairytale house in the woods. The host and hostess met us and were very very friendly and helpful. Quiet, beautiful surroundings.

I never figured out how to make the hot water work in the shower, but that wasn’t really a problem. I have no complaints at all.

I really loved that it was deep in the woods and felt really remote. There was no internet and no TV, which was perfect to help me unwind.

Unfortunately, there was no shower available, and no hot water at all. The shower itself wasn't actually even connected in any way, so this wasn't a minor issue that occurred and couldn't be fixed in time - there simply was no shower there. I'd have preferred to know this prior to staying and had price reflect lack of facilities, but absolutely no mention of the issue on check in! In fact, I received a message which explained how to operate the non-existent shower on the day of arrival, which was odd, given no water heater/shower connected. Heater in cottage was also very loud and made a beeping alarm type noise every time it clicked back on overnight (freezing, so needed it on). This wakes you up every 45bmin or so. As other guests have mentioned, there was a definite smell of old cigarettes and cigarette burns on the blankets, too.

Peaceful setting. Woods were beautiful. Owner friendly and nice walk to peak of mountain nearby. Description just does not match property, so be aware when booking. No shower and no hot water heater or system of any kind connected (so not broken or a minor issue, but misleading advertising).

The location was absolutely gorgeous, and the cabin was wonderfully cozy. It was perfect for a weekend getaway for the two of us. We do a lot of camping, so didn't mind using an outhouse (it's only a few steps from the front entrance). The location was more lovely and secluded than most campsites are. It's right on the property of a beautiful horse farm, but you'd hardly know it with how deep in the woods you are. We got in right at peak foliage time.

The "private bathroom" is an outhouse, you would have to walk outside 15-20 ft in the dark in the rain to reach it. The shower has no roof and was next to the outhouse. Maybe there is no bear, but there definitely were mosquitos. These facts were not posted on the description of the property. We communicated to the host that we could not stay. We weren't offer even a rebate for cleaning fees or tax (we didn't stay, nothing touched).

We didn't stay after seeing what the "private bathroom" was and immediately booked last minute at a nearby hotel.

It's advertised as having a bathroom, but it doesn't it has an outhouse. Also there was a smell of cigarettes in the sleeping area.

It was nestled in the woods, so quiet that I felt like I was alone on an island. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows available. Well supplied: microwave, fridge with a freezer, pots and pans for cooking on the stove top. Very clean outhouse and outside shower area. Cute, quaint, sweet and incredibly private. Loved it! Glamping at it's best.

Wendy coordinated with us throughout our five hour travel time to ensure that she had the heat on at the cottage, and met us to escort us, provide us with the key, and tell us all the things that we needed to know. It was an exceptional getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and revitalizing experience. The outhouse, a couple feet away from the property, allow you to reconnect with nature, and just added to the entire experience.

Hard to find because Waze brings you to wrong location and no cell service to search another way or call for directions. Solar lights at outhouse weren’t working.
