My room (#206) was not soundproof; I could clearly hear noise from the outside walkway. The only window in the room faced the walkway, so people could see inside, leaving me with no privacy; because of that, I had to keep the curtains closed, which made the room dark with no natural daylight. The room felt a bit worn out overall and could use a facelift. There were just a few hangers in the closet. Old yellow hairdryer that didn’t work well, plus, no toilet brush in the bathroom. Thin, cheap-quality bathroom towels. The rate I paid - $127 per night including taxes and fees - was overpriced for such a basic hotel; I believe the price should be about half.

Basic but well-maintained and moderately comfortable hotel for a short stay. Great location in a peaceful, safe Fort Lauderdale neighborhood, just one block from the beach. A few parking spots available near the hotel. A small but nice swimming pool with sun chairs around, surrounded by many tropical trees that give a lovely vibe. Fast and easy check-in. Sweet and friendly front desk staff. My Studio with King Bed (#206) was spacious and very clean. Both air conditioner and a fan-lamp in the room. Comfortable King bed. Large refrigerator that could fit a lot of drinks. Closet section was big and included a luggage bench. The bathroom was spacious and had a medium-size bathtub. The bathroom amenities were of good quality and had a pleasant scent. The hotel’s Wi-Fi worked fast. There was a 24-hour front desk, and someone was always there even late at night.

The room was a bit tired. Very thin walls, so it felt that the people in other room or outside were talking or making noise in my room. Toilet kept running (it was running, when I arrived), it had to be pushed in a special way for the water to stop.

There is a door on the back of the hotel, very close to the room we stayed in, that seems to be open to the street all day and night, and that created some insecurity about someone break into our room.

We were placed on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Wife has a bad knee and this meant difficuty coming and going from the room. It actually limited our trips in and out.

Location to the beach was great. Able to walk to see the airshow and walk back without dealing with the traffic. Room very spacious and clean. Owners very friendly.

The safe wasn't working properly but that didn't bother us.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to drop off our luggage as we had arrived early so we could explore the beach and neighborhood until check-in time. Location was amazing. Walking distance to the beaches. There are a lot of local restaurants nearby. The room came with a microwave and fridge, which were handy.

The property was lacking some basic upkeep, but the beds were very comfortable.

Tropi Rock is in a great location. A short walk to the beach and a couple of great coffee and breakfast spots. Just enough away from the strip so you are not bothered by the noise, but can easily be reached on foot.

The public restroom was not clean at all. We had difficulty using our shower as the knobs dont work properly and couldnt take a bath because there is no plug. Needs some renovation outside, rooms look fine inside. It's not all bad but not all good either

Very good location. Room was squeaky clean. No elevator for guests to haul luggage. No control over a/c. Neither by remote control or by pushing buttons on the unit.
