How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location in the center of town, near the river. Interesting décor and layout. Nice adjacent coffee shop.

Parking took a minute to figure out. Valet was $20, street parking was free until 9am, and there was parking about two blocks away in a parking garage but it’s not a high clearance parking (I had an suv with rooftop box). We had an easy time finding street parking and appreciated the email ahead of time warning about parking options but wish it was outlined a little better in the booking.com information.
Love the location, design, friendliness of staff, thoughtfulness of the room and super large shower

Could use a couple more hooks for hanging stuff up. Water spilled onto the floor during shower use.
Friendly, responsive staff. Clean, comfortable room. Coffee shop was pleasant to visit, with the big windows open... Ahh!

We are never disappointed when we stay at The Wren. We scheduled last minute on this stay. Our room was a little smaller but still extremely comfortable and clean.
The coffee in the morning and the attached breakfast cafe are so convienent. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotless and comfortable.

Nothing. It was perfect.
Updated comfortable clean. A true great experience. Staff helped me with early check in due to my need to move from another hotel which did not have hot water.

We loved everything!
So much fun, over the top facilities!! The hotel and room were beautiful and sooo comfortable. The staff was attentive, kind, and very efficient. Great coffee shop attached. So accommodating, whatever we needed, it was provided.

The rates were quite high. I feel they have dynamic pricing. It was a busy weekend in Missoula so I am sure they took advantage of this.
We appreciated the unique character of the hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good location for walking around Missoula.

Having a small fridge in the room would be helpful and maybe a hotpot or coffee maker, though there was good coffee available in the lobby in the morning, which was super wonderful.
The room was clean, and the hotel is in an excellent location. Right downtown in the walking area and within walking distance to the university as well. We had our dog, and we were so grateful to find a pet-friendly place to have our dog. The staff was super helpful and friendly when we checked in. We hope to stay again.

I thought the room could have had more places to hang things (there were 6 hangers and no way to add more based on the wall hanging design.). But could have had more wall hooks Also some more “nooks” to put folded clothes.
Great location. Fun, energetic, youthful vibe.

Parking was valet but we happen to be there on Sunday after 5 so the street parking was free till 9am Monday. Wish there was a fridge in the room or a bar to get drinks.
Rooms are clean with a large bathroom. The common space was great as we were a group with a couple of rooms so nice to play games, talk, and hangout.

So clean! Surprisingly quiet. Nice linens and bed. Don’t mind the “no phone” in the room, everyone has one and we were given a number to call if any issues. Will stay again. Seemed a bit pricey, but excellent location. Shout out to the staff. “ AMAZING!”

Proximity to elevator was pretty noisy, barn door bathroom
Super cute, super clean little hotel. We had a very comfortable stay. Great shower though I wish hotels would stop using barn doors for the bathroom. The room is also very basic - no fridge, no phone etc. But still a nice stay.

The rooms were well designed and comfortable, and having a coffeeshop downstairs was handy. The walkability in downtown was the great draw.

No complaints
The hotel was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. We travel to Missoula frequently and usually stay at other high-end hotels downtown. I think we found a new favorite in The Wren.
