The garbage bin by the back entrance door was overflowing. Garbage all over. We notified the receptionist about this issue. Nothing was done for 2 days while we were there. Just more garbage. The sink was old with brown spots. It was hard to operate the faucet. Shower made incredible noise.

I could have used an extra blanket on the bed. One bedside lamp did not work.

It’s 21st century. It’s time to bring this hotel up to the current times. Staff is great and location is great. Please renovate this place. People visiting deserve to stay in a hotel that is 21 century and not a tile capsule

The “breakfast” was a bad joke, at best. Basically it was coffee, juice and a handful of cellophane wrapped muffins. They shouldn’t even bother mentioning it since we had to go elsewhere to get some actual food. I probably won’t stay there again sine the included breakfast was one of the key reasons we chose this hotel.

No pool and only a continental breakfast. For the price the breakfast should have been bacon, eggs and sausage.

The room was spacious and clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave. The room was sound proof.

Breakfast was on the slim side, just wrapped muffins and danish and coffee and juice with some yogurt, but that's good enough, no complaints if your expectations are set, hotel staff told us that the night before so we were fine with it. Also, luckily I read other reviews, the room did indeed have a sharp, distinct minty smell upon entering, which we got used to after a while. I warned the family we might have a minty room before entering, so they were ok with it , again, set your expectations. Washer/dryer are $1.50 each but dryer took 3 spins, no hot air, boo. We enjoyed our stay, clean, just on the older side, I thought it was great value.

Location is great to do an early morning Howe Caverns, 30-to-40 minute jaunt over to Cooperstown and Barnyard mini-golf and Rail Explorers. Take the local roads rather than the interstate, much more scenic and takes about the same time, was not crowded. Kids went crazy for the billiard/pool table, a nice space across from the front desk and $1.25 pee game, and a nice eating area next to that, a nice semi-private area for the family to enjoy. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. Try the Locomotive bar and grill in town, we loved it. Gas station next door, Dunkin Donuts across the street, interstate accessible nearby, nice town just down the road.. Wifi was fast and reliable.

The facility is old. We heard noises coming out of the pipes all night long. There were also noises coming out of the refrigerator. The sink was old, and wringly.

“Breakfast Included” amounted to plastic wrapped muffins; plastic wrapped fruit cocktail and coffee. That’s it! Major dissatisfaction.

Quiet hours began promptly at 10:00pm following what sounded like a tailgate party in the parking lot at the far end of the building.
