The location was fantastic, easily walkable to convenience stores, restaurants, the beach. The room was great, newly remodeled and very clean, comfortable beds, a great balcony where you could see the beach

My go to place when I visit San Diego. The Bird Rock area is a hidden gem in an already beautiful (but crowded) city. It is a typical boutique hotel with old motel bones.

The room needs one extra chair and maybe a bedside table. I brought my own Keurig, although they had coffee in the lobby or down the street. I'd rather have it in my room. There was a microwave outside by the office, not in the room. Parking is tight, but they will make a secret spot for you if you get in late.

Cute little, somewhat bugee, clean. no frills motel. Close enough to the ocean, you could walk to the cliffs to see the sunset. Restaurants, a bakery, coffee, and a donut shop are all within walking distance. I Ubered to Pacific and Mission Beach for a reasonable rate and didn't have to fight for beach parking. The room was quiet and you couldn't hear the people in the pool. The pool was nice and clean. The staff was top-notch, especially when I locked myself out of the room. I enjoyed the large trash receptacle in the room, as I didn't have to dump the trash can every night. The shower was clean and powerful.

The property was in a great location and the room was perfect for what we needed for our family trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location. Within walking distance to coast, but no beaches. Had to drive 20-30 minutes to beaches, hiking, and San Diego attractions. Lighting. One switch turned on super bright lights over vanity and also over bed. Unpleasant doing makeup with husband complaining about overhead brights while sleeping/watching T.V.

No threats, very accommodating

Nothing, it was wonderful. I recently had an unfortunate experience at a hotel where I sought assistance in locating my room because of having Diplopia. Instead of receiving help, I encountered a dismissive attitude towards my question. There was no office available for inquiries, no maps provided, and I felt threatened by the response I received. Not at this hotel. No bullshit or threats.
