Good value, Enjoyed the stay. A little noisy. Fire alarm and processes questionable.

There was a fire alarm at 1am. People started to evacuate. Fire Officer announced on the loudspeaker (Shelter in place). Alram went off. Some continued to evacuate. Others returned to the room. Then the alarm went off again so we started to leave. Was told to stay. Stopped for a few minutes, then started. We began to leave the room. Only for the speakers to instruct people to return to their rooms. No one swept the floors. I was left to help foreigners understand what was being said. No apology or note to explain what happened. Makes me question the H&S processes and fire safety at Moxy.

Clean and nice staff. Easy-going communal areas.

    3 days visit in Manhattan

    • Double Room with Two Double Beds
    • Stayed 3 nights

In my opinion the design of the hotel and rooms seems to be targeted for couples and adults so not totally friendly for family with kids but despite of this I saw a lot of family with kids there. The rooms are very small which is not a surprise in Manhattan. The bathrooms has glass door , which even if it is not clear glass still not giving needed privacy.

The hotel is located in walking distance from Time Square, Empire State Building which is an advantage but it is also a very crowded area. The rooms are small but clean

An enjoyable place to stay on a family holiday to New York
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Guest Room with 2 Bunk Beds
    • Stayed 5 nights

The stay was expected. Not a luxury hotel but a good value room for a familty of four to stay in at the heart of NYC

We stayed in the 4 person bunk bedroom. As a family of 4 with teenage children we were on a budget and this room worked really well. Lungage storage at the end ofthe bed was a masters stroke. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning the lounge area. Over all we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend if you are looking for seperate beds for children!

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, great hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no fridge. But it won’t deter me from coming back next time I visit NYC. Enjoyed the candy treats in the lobby as well!!

A/C worked when it felt like it I think it needs an overhaul and a small quibble was the lighting which was horrible, very unflattering. But overall a lovely property.

Location was amazing and staff was super helpful and pleasant. Rooftop bar was very cool get the Moira Rose it was delicious.

There’s no breakfast available but we had a $20 credit / day to buy pastries from the 2nd floor cafeteria. The pastries were pricey though, and the credit was enough to buy 1-2 pastries only. Not provided water bottles too, you’re charged $7.99 per bottle if you use the ones provided at the room. There’s no mini-fridge.

Perfect location if you’re aiming to be close to Broadway, Central Park, high street shops and generally around the Midtown area. Comfortable rooms, very clean hotel, cool vibe with music playing everywhere - capturing the area vibe. Nice details in the room to make the stay easier.

I feel the room was quite small for the price, and the open concept wardrobe meant we only had hooks along the wall to hang clothes off. This, coupled with nowhere to store suitcases besides the floor, made it feel even smaller. Breakfast was also mostly sugary snacks like cakes, muffins, and even the cereal bars had 24% sugar per bar. Oranges and bananas (which they run out of if you arrive later in the breakfast period) were the only nod to healthy food options.

The hotel was a 3-minute walk to Times Square but still quiet enough away from the hustle and bustle and walking distance to many other attractions. The beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. They stored our bags before check-in and after check-out so we could go exploring.

A handheld shower head would make a nice addition. A little noisy from the rooftop (even on 11 floor), but otherwise no complaints.

Good location, rooms are clean, enough space for one person and especially in New York, but would be a bit tight for a couple. No closet, but plenty of hooks on the wall and a foldable desk where I put my clothes. It was nice to get the voucher of $20 for coffee/food daily.

The rooms are smaller than they look in the photos and don’t have a wardrobe, which makes it tricky to store suitcases or clothes properly. Breakfast is also not what you’d expect — it isn’t a buffet. Instead, you’re directed to a room with packaged items to choose from and given a daily voucher of $10 per person to use at the hotel café. The hotel then adds a 15% service charge on top of the total, and you pay the difference at checkout. Had this been clearly specified upfront, we likely would have chosen a different hotel or opted for a rate without breakfast.

On the positive side, the location is very central and convenient, and the room was cleaned well with fresh towels provided daily, which was a definite plus.

Breakfast was included with our stay, but honestly, it didn’t feel worth it. The selection was extremely limited—mostly sugary, pre-packaged items that got old fast. You’d be much better off grabbing something fresh from a local café. The offerings consisted of blueberry Danone yogurt, muffins (either blueberry or banana), lemon cake, apple or orange juice, cereal bars, oranges, the occasional banana, and tiny plastic bottles of water (which felt wasteful—barely a sip and so much unnecessary plastic). Everything was processed and sweet, which might be fine for a short stay, but after a week, it became tiresome. It felt like money down the drain. There was a noticeable lack of fresh fruit—serving whole oranges that needed peeling was impractical, and unsurprisingly, the bucket of them sat untouched most of the time. The only real upside was the $20 voucher for the bar, which served genuinely good coffee and freshly baked pastries. That was a nice touch. However, even there, savoury options were scarce. Someone with diabetes or anyone avoiding sugar would really struggle with the overall breakfast setup.

Perfect location, everything on your doorstep. 5 mins walk to the Empire State Building. 10 mins to Times Square. Friendly staff and overall modern feel to it.
