How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I really can’t give a fair rating this time. McAlester had a tornado came through a couple of months ago so I this Motel 6 was trying to get repair’s done. I stayed in this Motel 6 a couple of years ago and for the money it was very nice. It was just different this time.
I didn’t see a breakfast.

The manager Pat is always great. In fact she is one reason I keep coming back.

TV didnt work, but they fixed it within a couple hours. had to replace the receiver i think. The guy that fixed it just left and didnt say anything, and it was not on a channel...didnt realize it was actually working for about 20 minutes when i started screwing around with it. First night VERY strong oder in hall... probably someone cooking... dissipated and was mostly gone by next night.
No breakfast? McDonalds down the highway was fine. Great shower. Clean soft towels.

There was a couple of small roaches that I killed, insects happened. They "fixed" a stain window seat/bed cushion by flipping it over and a light bulb was missing to keep the room with some light but not using the big bright light. Upon leaving there was a person outside sleeping under their trunk, I don't know how secure the outside is, wasn't an issue inside.
Staff was quick and non-chatty. Room was simple and mostly clean. No bedbugs which was my main concern.

Heavily stained chair, ice machine out of order, desk falling apart, hot hallways and stairwells. Again, it’s a cheap motel. We didn’t have high expectations.
Clean room, hot shower, cold ac, quiet, convenient location for us. It provided us with everything we expected in a $60 motel room. Would stay again under the right circumstances.

The property is sometimes noisy when parents with children rent, single customers should not have to put up with Noisy Undisciplined children. The teenager were jumping and doing flips in the upstairs hall way, and staff was Afraid to tell the parents to make their children be a little quieter, and to behave. One of the teenager spill soda on my car, I had to spend extra money to get a new car wash.

The parents should have been told to Monitor their children, since there was other Paying guest at the hotel whom preferred not to hear all the noise!!
The hotel is very nice and clean. There is no breakfast, only coffee. I wish that Motel6 would at least offer cereal and milk so that guest wouldn't have to rush out early in the morning and buy breakfast at a McDonald. Also the hotel guest were somewhat noisy on the 3rd and 4th of July. The children were running around with no parents around to quieten them down.

Sink stopper was broken, we had to use the ice bucket to catch the water and dump it in commode or bathtub. We went to the front desk for a new roll of bath tissue. Staff was friendly.

Well I just finished a long run and they were doing landscaping out by my window with chainsaws that was not good LOL I wasn't nice to the people there sorry
It's a nice place when the better Motel 6 is I've seen in my travels.

The people openly smoking crack on the back porch. Bums sleeping on the sidewalk. Dryer doesnt dry. Getting pulled over after leaving being searched and interrogated for drug trafficking, now that was the real icing on the cake!
This motel is not along the noisy corridor. Offers smoking rooms. The staff was very friendly. No bugs, air conditioning worked. Safer than other places, I guess.
