- Convenient location to the Volcano National Park. We could make it to the park in 5 min upon eruption notice - Clean, comfortable and large sized room. We were in room 11 - Great restaurant on property - Very helpful staff who gave us tips on volcano viewing

Nothing to complain about!

We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights and fall in love immediately. The staff was very friendly, the room was absolutely cute and perfectly cleaned and the dinner at the Lodge was excellent (you should try the Volcanoes wine made in the area!). Drinking water and parking were for free. The location was great, since we were there for hiking in the Volcanoes National Park, which is only 5-10 mins drive away. You can use the fire place in the common area for free and enjoy a relaxing evening. There is no TV in the room, which we loved. Time to talk and read a book. A rain forest nature trail belongs to the Lodge's area as well.

Even though it is cooler in Volcano, the lack of AC can be a turn off for hot sleepers.

Very cozy, perfect for those who wish to explore Volcano National Park! The restaurant was excellent -- much needed in an area that does not have many food options.

I would have liked the room to be cleaned, towels and coffee refreshed. There is a texting app, so I could have asked…Coffee in the room wasn’t great - seems standard which is surprising considering Kona coffee is grown on the Big Islans.

Beautiful property, close to Volcano Park. Wonderful restaurant. Nice hiking trails and hottub, but we didn’t have a chance to use them.

Everything was great.

Loved the historic feel and history. Enjoyed the nature walk and the hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking and driving. The fireplace was a nice touch at night. The staff was helpful and the food great at the restaurant. Convenient location to the national park, and I got to go to the volcano at night. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The lodge was just a few minutes from Volcano National Par making it convenient for both lodging and meals. The room was charming and we loved the landscaping and walking trail. Additionally not dinner and breakfast were amazing.

Large airy first floor room with windows looking out towards the lush back yard. Very comfortable. Excellent service in the lodge restaurant and check in. Really enjoyed the private outdoor patio. Would stay here again.

The rooms at the front are pretty noisy … if you can get a room at the back of the property. Also the doors don’t lock automatically, you have to lock them yourself (which doesn’t seem to happen in the communal area at the back)

My husband had a hard time navigating the stairs to our room, a ground floor would have been easier if you have mobility issues. Now we know.

We had dinner there, food was good, staff very friendly. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the birdsong was blissful.
