Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe service is very slow , May be they are short of staff or they take some guest lightly and some with preference . Even though I informed over phone and by email that I will be coming late midnight at around 3 am , still they did nothing and made me wait at reception for 40 mins with my kids sleeping on sofa after tiring and delayed flight . Also to mention a young receptionist who checked me out said you have used mini bar items that’s why yoh have been billed but when I said I moved things from fridge and kept it out as I wanted to keep some bread inside she said you have to go and keep things back in place and I was almost going when thank fully a senior reception gentleman came and he said that’s ok as long as you haven’t used it . Which saved really my time . We are Muslims from gulf and we don’t consume alcohol . Kindly keep experience receptionist , this is JW Marriot not some roadside hotel . Also the young girl failed to explain me my bill . I booked this hotel for 3 nights for 565 usd and she charged me 752 something usd . She couldn’t explain Me why ,
Nice rooms , The hotel is modern and new . Very close to main attractions , good walk to the river . Everything is grand , the pool , gym

AustraliaExtremely late check in at 4pm. If you get off a cruise you’ll have to wait all day to get into your room despite a 7200 passenger ship being able to flip the entire ship in three hours. $89 breakfast with paper cups and volcanic hard eggs Benedict. Intercontinental breakfast two blocks away is $39 and massive with ceramic plates and cups. Asked for extra towels for our kids at 19:30 - they arrived at 22:00 after we had gone to bed. A lovely looking hotel but the staff/ chefs need to spend time on a Royal Caribbean ship to learn about food standards and customer service.
Great location and lovely aesthetics

PolandThis is the first time we’ve ever had to question the standards of a five-star hotel like this. It was a terrible experience. The power went out, and for over 10 hours, there was no electricity, no air conditioning, and no lighting throughout the entire hotel. When we checked out, the issue still hadn’t been fixed. The hotel staff claimed it wasn’t their problem. Only one elevator was working, causing wait times of up to 30 minutes. The staff at reception lied to us about a possible room change the day before. We didn’t even receive the room we had paid for—two adults were forced to share a small bed. On the first day, they told us to return the next day for a room swap. The next day, they denied ever saying that, responding with, “Who told you that? It’s not possible. We’ll call you if anything changes.” Of course, no call ever came. To make matters worse, a baggage attendant saw us struggling with our luggage in the elevator and did nothing to help. I suppose when there’s no guaranteed tip, service isn’t a priority. This will be our last time staying at a Marriott hotel—definitely not worth it. They even had the audacity to claim that a room facing a wall of another building still qualifies as a “city view” room. One more thing is Valet parking that costs 62$ + tax per night. We are not used to valet parkings and we always pick self parking when it is available. The Ferrari that got damaged because it was parked in risky area is perfect example why. Valets have secured it with safety cones after it got damaged by big SUV. The no-refund policy after making a reservation was the cherry on top. If a refund had been possible, we would have simply chosen one of the other hotels we’ve stayed at in Miami.
