The HVAC system in the room was quite noisy. Thankfully I had earplugs! 😄

    Enjoyed it immensely.

A little bit isolated. Seemed a little further away from main attractions than I thought it might be. Visited mid-June and walking far wasn’t really a viable option so a lot of uber trips.

    Spacious room and clean.

The food...my wife ordered the turkey sandwich which wasn't the best. The turkey seemed a little old and it tasted that way. I ate part of what she didn't. And I got sick later on in the night. I ordered fruit with the sandwich and I got fries. Wasn't a big deal...but I was looking forward to the fruit. The cost were a little pricey. But that's to be expected.

    Location was great.

-frosted glass bathroom door. We have teens, and we all enjoy privacy in the bathroom, as a lot of people do! Even though the doors weren't completely see thru other than light or shadows, it was still an odd choice and none of us were thrilled to not have a normal door. -no microwave in the room -the elevator wait was long at peak times because they filled quickly, but we just used the stairs in that case.

-hotel breakfast was filling and the reason we stayed here. It was a good way to start our day of sightseeing. (Yogurt and fresh fruit, breakfast burrito bar, toast, breads, various muffins, donuts, bagels, oatmeal with fixings, scrambled eggs with and without spinach, sausage (pork and turkey), potatoes, French toast or pancakes, drinks (coffee, tea, milks (including almond milk), juice, ice water, cereal, etc. Truly something for everyone...) -beds were comfy, room was comfy -location was good. We were able to walk to the wharf (15 min), the national mall near the air and space museum (15 min), the capitol visitor side (20-25 min), the museum of the Bible (5 min), and the federal center SW metro(5-7 min). Anything beyond that, we took the metro. -the breakfast staff was super friendly and kind. We appreciated Carlos especially - always working, clearing tables with a smile. We went back to thank him at the end of our stay, but couldn't find him - hopefully he sees this review! -valet service was the same - very friendly and helpful gentlemen manning the stand. This was our first experience with valet and it was smooth and easy. There was no parking the first night - garage was full! But he helped us find an easy, close place to park overnight, and assisted us with getting a spot in the garage the next morning. -it was right on the highway, but that did not bother us. The sound was minimal/none and didn't impact our stay or sleep at all. -other reviews might state that breakfast gets busy. It does but tables clear quickly. We never had to wait for a table and the line moved fast. -room keys had to be tapped to get to guest floors. Good safety feature (although the front desk didn't inform everyone of this. We stood in the elevator -with a line of people waiting - trying to figure out why it wouldn't go to our floor, when finally a guest informed us. We had to inform another family a few days later bc they didn't know either.)

We picked this hotel because it was close to the National Park, which was super convenient for the concert we were going to. But honestly, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The place was really crowded, and the service—especially during dinner—was slow and not great. The bathroom felt old and definitely needed a makeover, and the air conditioning was so loud it made it hard to relax. Honestly, it wasn’t the best stay—especially surprising since Hyatt is usually such a great hotel chain!
