Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelVery tight, unvomfortable, teh rooms are cleaned only every other day so our two day visit felt dirty. The area outside ia not clean. I do not recommend this hotel for families. The breakfast is not tasty. I skiped it even though paid for it
The oversized suite includwd kitchen facilities which we did not use as we came onky for two nights. Therefore would rather have more space and some clost area. Fwlt very tight and uncomfortable for family of five.

IrelandVery little - in the 50 metres of 37th Strret from 8th Avenue seems to be where some unfortunate homeless / addicts regularly hanging out. They totally ignore you passing and dont seem to be any threat but it is a slight negative we experienced but also I see referenced in other reviews. There are three or four hotels on the street and it is always busy with pedestrians and traffic.
Lovely hotel in good central location in Mid Town Manhattan, near to Time Square, Broadway, Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Good breakfast included with room whish is buffet style, reasonably good selection and excellent staff. Room was good, smaller than it looks in picture but had kitchette facilities which was good. Good air con and friendly helpful staff on reception.

IndiaNothing major, just kinda wish they had at least acknowledged the request I added after booking—just a simple yes or no would’ve been nice. I had asked if they could leave a surprise note or greeting card since it was not only our first-ever visit to New York, but also my wife’s birthday on the day we were checking in. But yeah… it’s okay.

Great service. Kitchenette in room was fantastic. Great location in the middle of the city. Very quiet for a city hotel as well.

United StatesCould’ve used slightly heavier blankets on the bed. Next door to the hotel, There are a few uninhabited buildings with scaffolding outside. During our stay, a handful of homeless folks were loitering about the area at all hours using it for shelter and recreational drug use (meth/crack). I’m not sure that the hotel can do much about it because it wasn’t happening in front of the hotel and the unhoused people have nowhere else to go… not sure that involving the police would help. The presence of unhoused people wasn’t a huge problem for me because I’m a medical provider and used to interacting with them. But my kids insisted on avoiding the area because on one occasion one of the guys wasn’t looking where he was going, ran into me, and nearly knocked me over.
It was located within walking distance of a lot of NYC sites. Easy access to the subway. Clean and well-maintained inside and the room was a good size for Manhattan. Free breakfast.

United StatesThe walk from the corner to the hotel is very frightening due to the large population of homeless on the sidewalk. Our final night there we had to walk in the street.

IndiaThe alternate day cleaning facility . For the charges per room ,I feel the hotel should give cleaning facility every day and more so because the rooms are for for families
The location , the ambience , the amazing spread and variety of the breakfast served . And also the gesture of keeping take away boxes was really considerate .

ItalyThis hitel could have been a 8/9 and the 7 rating is all due to the absolutely terrible sofa bed, which is a pity because such a small mattress is not really expensive and it could really make the difference in the overall hotel rating. The sofa bed was also not made in advance, we had to put bedsheets ourselves. Breakfast room way too small, it was quite difficult to find a space. For the price we paid I would try to find an alternarive hotel with a better bed for the third person
Very good location, a bit expensive but these are NY prices. Breakfast personnel was very friendly and helped provide gluten free bread in the morning.

GermanyWe have nothing to complain about. The price for the room was high during our visit. That may be normal for New York. We booked at very short notice, but I don't know for sure.
We stayed at this Hotel for serveral nights at the end of April till May 2025. The Hotel Staff are very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The accommodation is in the center but in a quiet area. Many things are easily accessible on foot. The room was cozy, with a big bed and a sofa bed. It has a big fridge, good Wi-Fi, a kettle, mikrowave, dishes, a small stove, a dishwasher, a hairdryer and TV. The shower has hot and cold water. The room was cleaned every second day and totaly enough. The Breakfast had many options. On Wednesday there was a small free buffet for the guests, very nice. The roof terrace offers a great view
