Reviews of Hacienda Motel 2 stars

In Alturas, CA the most you can expect in lodging is decent value for money. Hacienda Motel does well enough at that, Our room was clean and in adequate repair --- good for a night's stay.

The bed was terrible. The showers are too small no shelves to put all your shower needs on. Coffee pot didn’t work.

Very disappointed. Liked · I booked this hotel because of the good cleanliness reviews. I arrived and she was very curt. She charged me a $20 deposit for my service dog. I had called ahead to confirm they understood she was a service dog and even explained why. I struggle with confrontation and being in public so I just gave her my card. I told her that I read great reviews about clean rooms and she said "that's why deposit". I just let it go. I get to my room and it was as described, simple but clean. Very mismatched and basic but clean. I go to tale a shower and there is NO HOT WATER! it barely got to a cold luke warm. Sink didn't have any either. I wet washcloths and put in the microwave. Thats when I noticed ground coffee in a ziploc container. Hope there is a coffee place close. Thank goodness the bed was clean.

Nothing. They wouldn't allow us to stay there.

They lied. They advertised as being 'pet-friendly', but we found out they did not accept pets once we got there! They did not allow us to stay. We had to find an alternative in a very small town. We were very upset!

Big room, coffee in room , fridge, microwave, good TV choices.

Well it is what it is as far as age of the motel but you can tell the efforts made to keep it updated and relevant.

We didnt have breakfast, but they had a coffee machine, microwave and fridge! The bed was very comfortable, and liked that they had a table and recliner plus extra chair. :) Parking right in front of your room was nice and they had air-conditioning. One story was also nice!

The outside looked a little old, but inside rooms were awesome..

I loved the “in another time”vibe. I felt transported. The room had everything I could have needed or wanted. The filter already in the coffee pot was an added touch.

Enjoyed the amenities, including the Mr Coffee, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Shower is a bit on the small side, but that's the way it was built when new, not a real problem unless you are a large person or perhaps have mobility issues.

They left a dirty wert bath towel on the shower floor. Door knob loose. Need towel hooks.

Dated and small

Location was very convenient to several restaurants/eating options and a Dollar General for some supplies. Room was pleasant and quiet. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Cable TV kept going out with a message claiming signal interruption.

Quiet, basic. Everything worked. They let me in early.
