How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TV didn’t tune well at first and it was a bit gloomy- not helped by light over sink being broken.
Location great and actually the rooms without windows are in the basement so naturally quite cool which was a relief. Loved walking into town past the library and ice rink and over the river to Sheri’s for icecream. Nice that they had books and games to borrow. Breakfast was good but there was an 8am rush (when it opens) so eggs and apples and bakery goods ran out alot and had to hang out and wait for replenishment. It looked like it had calmed down by 8.39am.

The air conditioner in the room made some loud noises during the night to the point of waking us up once. However, the location where the cabins are situated is not noisy at all.
Perfectly located about 10 min walking distance from the town center. Very clean room and very friendly staff. Breakfast had a nice selection and most of the baked goods seemed to be homemade. The access to the cabins is easy and the surroundings are very well maintained. Love the coffe and recycling bin in the cabin!

Staff were so friendly and considerate. I had booked a room without air conditioning and they upgraded our room to one with air conditioning The cooked breakfast was delicious

Our room was a little dated.
The staff was very friendly & the location was fantastic. Deer passed through the property every morning & evening, which was a nice treat.

Not walking distance to downtown but it only a few minutes to drive into town and parking was easy.
Large room. 2 sinks. Complimentary breakfast esp the mushroom spinach frittata was delicious.

Inability to control the air temperature in the room.
Cleanliness of room and the little extras within the bathroom. Breakfast was a good start to the day and geat to be included in the price. A convenient short walk into town.

Breakfast was late in the morning, so I missed it.
The property was beautifully maintained and there were plenty of supplies on hand. The room was comfortable and the decor was simple and tasteful. Parking was easy. It's close to all of the outdoor recreation the area offers.

No cooked vegetarian options at breakfast. More like a continental breakfast. Wished there was a pool.
King suite was big and roomy. Had a tea kettle, real plates and utensils, dish soap. Big bathroom, lots of towels. Great location, could walk to the boardwalk downtown easily. Friendly support staff.

What a charming lodge just where we needed one! While staff shortages prevented in-person greeting at our late arrival, instructions were adequate to find our room. Great breakfast next morning!

Everything was great
Beautiful location, very peaceful. Deer family hanging out at the property. Nice breakfast. We had some small issues at the beginning with the room, but everything was resolved immediately after mentioning to the manager.

A room was a bit too small and there was hardly any place to place and open a suitcase. Plus yhe air-conditioning required cleaning.

Temperatures were warm during our stay, but we chose not to turn the window AC on as its filter was packed with dust. The room felt dusty.

In room air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and kept cycling on and off through the night. We didn’t sleep well at all due to this. Feels like this could easily be updated to a newer AC unit which could provide a much quieter and comfortable experience.
