Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed pillows were very uncomfortable. Had hard time sleeping. The room decor was blasé No personality at all. Breakfast was very minimal but got us by.
Hotel had underground free parking. Location was good.

The room stank like dirty laundry upon entering it. Aired it out a bit and sprayed some scented spray to overcome the bad smell . I was also disappointed that they didn’t have low carb options for bf. Some eggs or sausage would be nice.

Room was quiet and facing condos next door, but was dingy and dark, and outdated. Bed was very uncomfortable compared to room we stayed in during a prior visit.

The breakfast offerings - very high caloric food, no decaffeinated coffee and no milk for the cereal.
The front reception person, Claire, was exceptional. She went over and above to help us, was very friendly and quite patient.

The bathroom could use some better maintenance. While everything was functional, it was showing some signs of neglect and before you know it that will be the reason the hotel gets bad reviews from future visitors. Hate to see that happen to a good hotel.

The place is showing wear, particularly the bathroom floor tile, which needs to be regrouted. Our room smelled "off." I suspect it may be one where a dog had been. Perhaps they should remove the carpeting in rooms where pets are allowed to stay. Housekeeping is only available on demand. They generally only clean the rooms after check-out. HOWEVER, despite this fact AND the fact that we placed a "privacy please" hang tag on the door, on Saturday morning, without knocking, the housekeeper opened the door anyway. She apologized immediately. When I asked why she would open the door with the hang tag, she said, "I thought it was left there by the guests who already checked out." My sister-in-law was given a room that had not been made up at all! We were very late arrivals on the day the management changed to Best Western and that presented the staff with some computer access challenges. We stayed for three nights for a family wedding. There are only two hotels on the island, and this was definitely the better of the two. It was adequate, but the price was high for the quality.
The reception staff, particularly Chris, who checked us in, and Claire, who is friendly, helpful, and most welcoming. Breakfast choices were limited, but the times were generous..

Breakfast was disappointing with processed packaged foods including juice boxes, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. A lot of street noise being on a main road.

Food served at breakfast was mediocre. Coffee was not very tasty. Price of room was high.
Location is ideal for Bainbridge Island. Room was bright with fresh air as windows provided a great cross breeze.

Breakfast needs some hard boiled or scrambled eggs (not powdered). Pillows are too small and soft on beds.

The internet failed in our room. Staff said it would be fixed, but wasn't while we were there. Exit stairs confusing.
Clean, easy to get to from the ferry, room was spacious. Staff gave us some breakfast food after we arrived even though the service had closed twenty minutes before. We were able to check into our room early without a fee. The room was quiet with the windows closed but not when they were open, but that is beyond the hotels control.
