There is nothing we did not like.

The house was very clean and the view from the deck was amazing. Our host, Stephen, made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He was also a good source of information about places to visit.

Not Stephen's fault, but the road out there was full of potholes. The house was a bit of a distance out of town, but that didn't end up making a difference to our plans.

Stephen allowed us plenty of space and was very kind and accommodating. The home was very clean. He had dishes and coffee/ tea available to us. We were allowed space/ use of his kitchen. Stephen was a very gracious host. He communicated nicely with us. He was very unobtrusive. He offered us extra space to allow for our extra luggage. We had been on a week- long cruise and were now doing a land tour and had loads of things with us. He also invited us to use his garage. It was raining when we arrived and this made it so easy to unpack.

Great location to see the aurora, far from the city. Stephen, the host, is kind and helpful. House is equipped with all the necessary. Indoor parking available. Great stay!

Really good location. The house is clean and you have a lot at your disposal (kitchen, garage…). Not far from downtown Fairbanks. There is a lot to do around there. Also, I was able to see some Aurora from the house ! Stephen is really nice and it was a pleasure to meet him and to talk with him.

While it is difficult to predict when an aurora is likely to occur, we learned a few things on this trip. One, to do a little research ahead of time on moon phases to make sure you end up with dark skies (even though the books say this doesn't matter.) We also learned that the best time of year to view the aurora is around the time of the equinoxes (September / March), when they occur more frequently. It was also helpful to download an app to monitor the info of the chances of auroras occurring - all of these things were very educational. But be prepared to be disappointed, nature is obviously unpredictable so temper your expectations!

We liked the location that it was out of Fairbanks, very quiet and peaceful. The serenity and silence of being surrounded by snow was really terrific. Driving around the surrounding countryside was great - the nature views are spectacular! The potential for aurora viewing at the property is good, unfortunately we didn't see any auroras because of the cloudy weather. You'll need to rent a car to get to the location, during winter get a AWD or 4WD car - the icy roads are treacherous.

Make sure you have transportation. It's best to rent a car. Thanks to Kate, she gave us a free ride even at night.

Everything about the place is amazing! Kate and Steven are so open and will help open handedly. Their hospitality is everything. It's a very clean, quiet, beautiful place in the wilderness of mountains. A retreat, to be precise. You'll see nothern lights if the cloud coverage is less.

There isn't anything that we did not like.

The house is located at a very nice place and the surrounding looked like winter wonderland when it snowed. Although we traveled to nearby summits to view Northern lights, we were able to see Aurora one day right from the deck. The living room, kitchen and bathroom was impeccably clean and the bedsheets/lamps were so authentic and cozy. We were allowed to use the kitchen and oven. We were also asked to park inside the garage when it snowed heavily. Our host Steven was extremely helpful with suggestions on things to do and was very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with him about his travel and experiences.

Steven was generous enough to share his home with me and he made me feel right at home, it was immaculately clean and he was full of insight on things to do in fairbanks/alaska. I would recommend anyone to stay here, it was cloudy the three nights I was there but I was still able to see the aurora lights in late August

The host was the nicest person. He gave us a lot of tips and couldn't be more right. The kitchen was very well equipped and we never had better WiFi in Alaska.

We enjoyed getting away from town and having a place to sleep and relax. Would like to see the view from the deck on a dark clear night. It was an inexpensive option for our visit to Fairbanks.
