The walls were thin and the neighbors stayed up late. Nothing the owner could have done about that.

I liked there was enough room everyone in such a small footprint. Our teenage girls could go into their room and just ignore us after a long day of touristing.

Sometimes, I could hear neighbors from across the wall. The apartment needs fresh refurbishment here and there.

Clear check-in instructions. The location is perfect. Around the apartment, you can easily find in a walking distance, grocery stores, cafés, bars, and even laundromat. Only 15 min drive to downtown. Free parking - amazing luxury! The apartment is equipped with everything you need.

There is no laundry facility in the room, while a coin-laundry is quite close to the room.

The room’s facilities were clean and well-maintained, with good access to the DC metropolitan area. If you prefer a stay without the luxury services of a high-end hotel, Almi is a great option for you.

One price was quoted by Booking and then it cost more whenI booked it. Booking.com should have the full price upfront instead of the deceptive listing that is not really what you’re going to have to pay. It was way beyond the taxes that are added. One of the questions above was how was the staff. There is no staff. It’s a check yourself in place. Nowhere did I see that there was a flight of stairs to go up to the unit with no elevator. There were no instructions of where I could find a subway station. The neighborhood is a changing neighborhood. However, I went into a couple of bars where I was one of the few Caucasians in those bars, but had no problem with the community. During the day, there are plenty of Caucasians around the neighborhood. I grew up in New York City. With all that said, I would definitely stay here again iIF the full price was listed by Booking.com. It appears that Booking now wants to be like Airbnb by renting probably own locations. However, the full price unlike Airbnb is not disclosed. I have use Booking lots of times during the last few decades, I am a level three genius. However, Booking in the last three trips has not met my prior expectations on my last trip to Miami. My plane arrived late, the code that was given to me for the door by the manager did not work: she gave me the wrong code. I called the manager who would not answer the phone then I call,ed booking at 1AM. Then Booking staff tried to blame on me that my flight was delayed till midnight. There were no notes in this Washington DC place where the supermarket was or where I could find a subway, which is the reason I stayed at this location. If Booking wants to be like Airbnb, they should require private owners to list where stores are since, it has a full kitchen and how to get to the nearest subway. I wound up using Lyft 8 times, since I could not find a subway station anywhere in the area

Parking is sometimes hard to find. You can park at the laundromat but not over night or you may get towed.

It was clean, had plenty of room, I liked the 2 ac units they keep the place cool in the hot weather. It’s right beside a laundromat so you can wash your dirty clothes. Has 2 doors with code locks to keep you safe.

On the last day the wifi went which was a problem as I needed to confirm my travel arrangements for the next morning. But the host said it would take two days to sort out. The apartment is above a Dispensary so there was an initial smell of Cannabis but after the first night I never smelt it again.

It felt like a home rather than a cold apartment. Has everything you need. It’s not the best location, you see a few fruity characters at night but I never felt unsafe. Ten mins walk from subway.

My stay at ALMI was quite enjoyable. Our group of five found the apartment comfortable, with two bedrooms and bathrooms providing enough space for everyone. The well-equipped kitchen made it easy for us to prepare meals during our stay. Additionally, the location was superb, just a few metro stations away from downtown, with the nearest station less than a 10-minute walk away. The neighborhood felt safe and clean, and we appreciated the convenience of having many stores nearby. Overall, I was highly satisfied with my experience at ALMI.

The facility is a renovation of an old department. Comparing with a hotel room , the equipment are old. The air conditioner is loud. I hope the landlord will provide better instruction regarding how to use the heating and cooling system. There are several Cannabis stores and Cannabis lounges close by. And I can hear the siren from time to time. At the beginning, I worry about it. But I find it is still safe to walk on the street. The apartment is facing the street and the window is not sound proof. . So it is kind of noisy. But to me, it is manageable. I can fall asleep. The apartment is at the second floor. We have to climb a set of stair to reach the door. If you have heavy luggage and if you are not strong enough, it could be difficult. The washroom is tighter than a regular hotel washroom.

Convenient location. This location is just 5 min away from Subway green line and There is a bus 70 right in front of the door that will drive you to down town. You can tour washington DC without a car. It is spacious than a regular hotel room. Nice smart TV. Reasonable price. The landlord is nice and responds our questions quickly.
