The room is a little worned, but it is still decent.

The location very close to the park entrance is unbetable. It is also almost always quiet. There was some long, loud screeching at 5 am on Monday morning, apparently garbage removal. However, nothing the hotel can do about it. The internet was quite decent in our room.We enjoyed having a small kitchen in our room sufficiently equipped for two people. We had a coffee dripping machine, microwave, fridge, stove, some plates, a couple of mugs, glasses, and metal utensils for two people. The kitchen allowed us to have a good early breakfast and get to the park early. Being pricey as it is, that motel is still less pricey than other establishments in the area.

No coffee or breakfast. You could grab a free coffee at the gas station. No hairdryers in the room, you had to ask at the front desk. Shower curtains needed to be washed more often.

Loved the fact it was right outside the park. Easy to walk around town. Beds were comfortable.

Initially we were assigned a room that was smelling with cigarettes. But we asked for a change and the new one was good. There was no hair dryer in the room. There was a torn screen in the bathroom.

Considering the cost of lodging in West Yellowstone, Al's wasn't too terribly expensive, however it is still quite pricey for those who are on a tight budget. And it probably isn't anything to be concerned about, but I was a bit concerned about the tiny bright light that just randomly came on the tv without either one of us near the tv remote. And, even though it appears to be the power button, the tv did not come on when the light randomly came on. We did not use the tv at all during our stay, so there's that.

Although VERY dated, as I am sure that is part of its historical appeal, our room at Al's Westward-Ho Motel was very spacious and clean. I really appreciate that our host was not intrusive and told us to come to them if we needed fresh towels during our stay as they do not have a "maid" service the room during multi-stay days. To top it off, it is the most convenient location to the West entrance of Yellowstone. On a side note, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of how Al's came to be on the motel map given to us when we checked in. Yes, it's a step back in time, but maybe it's good to remember how things use to be.

Some water leakage in the bathroom, bed linen could get a better washing, otherwise okay… not the place’s fault, it’s more the setup, but all those cars the have their horns to signal remote opening or closing, you listen to them all night.

It did the job. And there is a grocery store nearby.

The lock system was a little confusing—-key only fit the door knob, not the deadbolt so I had to have the manager come let us in when we returned from an evening excursion

Super close to downtown fun AND the West gate of YP! We literally made it through the gate in less than 15 minutes—-at peak time, largely becuase we started a mile or so closer than most other folks

No microwave, dryer in the room. I know its a motel, but if I spend $250+ per night, I would expect those bare minimums.

The location is pretty good. Everything, including the visitor center, west entrance to the park within a block or two. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Has fridge in the room and washer/dryer in the premise :+1.

No hair dryer, no location for coffee or even snacks,no microwave or freezer in the mini refrigerator, you had to go next door to the service station to get coffee and use their microwave which was fine but they don't open until 7 and we left for the park at 6:30am so no good coffee only the kind in your room that's not good.

The room was nice and clean.

Parking lot was small. No spot is guaranteed but ample street parking is available.

The location of the hotel was great as it's very close to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the attractions on the West side of the park. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean with all the supplies needed except a hair dryer. Water pressure was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for visiting the West side of Yellowstone Nat Park to maximize your time in the park vs driving outside of the park to get to a hotel. Close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions if that's your thing. :^) I just used my room as a place to sleep.
