the full experience with car bed theme. Otherwise normal hotel but attached to petrohead gallery , which is best . the gallery open early and shop open late morning. tried the dining in pizza shop and was great experiences. Modern furnishing, large windows, well equipped with sockets (at the desk, bed sides, bathroom, even next to the toilet bowl, next to light switches), automatic light below the wash basin, quality soap in soap dispenser, large magnifying mirror, candle and matches on the coffee table. Most comfortable beds in Germany so far! Very unique old house, looking directly onto the river. Beautiful views out of every window. We were there during the Christmas market and the entire town was magical. A short walk down a fairly steep cobblestone road and we were at the market. Excellent location. It even snowed, making the experience perfection!

    Cathedral is magnificent.

    Cathedral is magnificent. Walk down the Rhine to the Chocolate museum and Sport Museum. Pass the houses of the old town and grab an ice cream. Visit a brewery - Peters Brauhaus is brilliant. Früh and Gaffel somewhat touristy... Cologne Blick €5 per Adult - on a good day a beautiful view of the whole area. Great public transport. Great selection of shops and eateries.

    Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city.

    Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city. If you like to party it is obviously good for that as well since the bar scene seems to go all night long during the week. I'm no longer into the bar scene I just know that when I had to leave at 3am to catch my flight they were all still going strong on a Tuesday night. Besides that the architecture and the river scenes are amazing!!!

    Checked in on the Friday and visited the Signal Iduna Park...

    Checked in on the Friday and visited the Signal Iduna Park for their game against Leverkusen,then visited the zoo on Saturday and spent Sunday walking around the centre and the national football museum. Everyone is friendly and getting around is easy with the tubes and buses.

    Great exhibition halls at Messe Essen, for annual classic car show. Shopping is good with large shopping centre in town. Lots of restuarants and eating places. Dusseldorf within travelling distance and airport easily reached.

    Bonn has not been bombed during WWII, therefore it has the...

    Bonn has not been bombed during WWII, therefore it has the largest well-conserved late 19th century urban area in Germany (Suedstadt). To be mentioned also, the Poppelsdorf Schloss and its wonderful restaurant situated within the Botanical Garden, the Poppelsdorfer Allee and the beautiful Rhine promenade in easy reach.

    Wonderful-sized city with leafy cycle paths and walkways, streams and the lake, plus beautiful architecture, friendly residents and some great food, including delicious Italian ice-cream. Thoroughly enjoyed the art gallery too - well-designed, informative and a pleasure to spend time in - just like the city itself!

    We were overwhelmed by the splendour of the cathedral, and delighted by the new Charlemagne centre. Had there been more time we would have explored the city's history as displayed in the centre. The shops - both conventional and tourist-oriented - are excellent. There are many and various places for a coffee, drink or snack as well as good restaurants.

    It’s ani e small good place .. my trip was too short to describe this town but located in the heart of Germany’s Ruhr area, is famous for its industrial heritage, cultural attractions, and vibrant nightlife. Highlights include the German Mining Museum, Schauspielhaus Theater, and lively shopping and dining districts

    Landschaft park is brilliant.. free and very interesting...history of the blast furnace and you can climb all over it... Nice that they preserve such an historical site. A big shopping centre (Forum) with some really good places to eat. We are in Asia in the Forum... great value for money (19 eur for 2 meals) and another day we ate from the kebab shop opposite the Asia... Both times, excellent food and reasonably priced.

    Don’t expect a regular hotel, this is a ground floor 2 bed apartment which we were unaware of when we booked….however it ticked all our boxes for an overnight stay. No complaints here. Overall a good apartment with extras.
