“It was a beautiful setting on the roof terrace and lovely rooms. Breakfast was different every day and very delicious.”

  • Camino Art House Review score: 9

“Great location in the mountains also easy to access other parts of the island by bus. This was my second time there. Camino is an alternative arts community where you can create, rest and heal surrounded by stunning nature and a lovely green valley. It's the place to slow down and reconnect with yourself and refocus on your goals on your terms, leaving behind all the noise of life. It's a place to practice stillness and live in the present.”

  • “Location and room was clean and tidy.”

“Such a beautiful and quiet house/hotel. The pool is so lovely on a hot day and we were staying in room 3, which terrace lead out onto the pool - it was perfect. Huge bed which was so comfortable, I kept thinking my partner had left but we just had so much room. Air con was a huge bonus in each room. We made use of the washing machine (and tumble dryer) upstairs which was brilliant. The communal kitchen was lovely and we cooked a few times ourselves. The breakfast was amazing and the ladies who served us were so kind and made sure everything was topped up. It’s a continental breakfast and there’s something new every day. Lots of space to relax outside, with different communal areas on the rooftop, around the pool and also at the side of the house. The area was perfect, a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop to go south and the bus stop to go north is about a 10 minute walk (there is also a local bus stop route about a minute away from the house) If we weren’t using the bus to explore the island, we walked, such as Las Canteras and San Telmo. There are a few bars/restaurants and a beach just over the road which are mainly used by locals. Not a tourist in sight. Note that the ladies who serve breakfast/clean don’t speak much English (because they are in Gran Canaria!) so learn basic Spanish to show respect (do you speak English, hello, goodbye, thank you etc) Amazing stay for a week and I miss it so much already!! Highly recommend! (Pool towels are provided in the wardrobes as well as shower towels and there was a fridge in room 3 but not sure about everyone else’s. There is a communal kitchen with everything you need, fridge, freezer, oven, hobs, drawers, even oils and salt etc!)”
