    “Modern, clean, well appointed hotel on the edge of the Sassi. All mod cons within easy walking distance to the "main attraction", ie the historical caves area - perfect for more mature travellers. All staff were really helpful and friendly, room servicing was exceptional!!”

    “Every staff member regardless of our needs was super kind and professional and offered excellent level of customer service..an example being that the strap on my favourite sandals came out of the sole of the shoe and when asking if they had any super glue to fix it they went the extra mile and sent a staff member out to buy some! Also, the breakfast was reflective of a 5 star hotel with fresh eggs how you like them and a huge selection of freshly made pastries etc. The property location is situated 10 mins from the centre of MATERA which is great to come out of the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the beautiful garden full of fruit trees. I would say the photos don't do the property any justice as it is much nicer in reality with lots of parking, stunning gardens and space to relax outside of your room in communal areas. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner but the high standards of breakfast and the lovely setting and customer service make me think it would be great too! There is a lot of care gone into the smaller details like the coffee machine in the room and kettle with excellent herbal tea choices and supplying bathrobes that gives you an all round feeling of high value and that you are being taken care of. We would definitely go back...”

    “When staying in Matera, you have to accept a bit of walking and climbing stairs, but this hotel isn't that far or difficult to reach. It's just a few steps. The breakfast is great, and most importantly, the location is very cute and welcoming, and the room is exceptional.”
