Steep driveway and stairs up to the rooms were difficult for elderly adult to walk up.

The path was a little narrow coming up to the hotel so we had to park our van at the bottom of the entrance ramp and walked up with our luggage. Be careful of the monkeys! They can get into bedrooms easily if any windows are left open!

I love the design of the house, the vibe and tranquility of the place with a fireplace upstairs. Decent view too! The staff were quiet but extremely helpful especially when we accidently left a phone behind and they took the trouble to courier it back to us! Thanks to Shashin and Sajith!

Just the town happened to be in festival so it was noisy! Plus the rooftop floor had a large family with a lot of kids so they were super noisy into the late nights. But they were nice to not play music on a speaker when I asked them to come down a notch on the volume. ♡

-A bit tricky to find, despite signage -Vehicles can only reach up to a sloped walkway — not ideal for elderly guests or small children -Clothes rack was placed near the bathroom wall, and clothes got damp (possibly from rain or water leakage)

We have booked the property with 3 double bedroom for same price but I have received 1 small room. We raised the issue with the owner and he agreed that the room allotted was not the same as the one paid for. Kindly do the needful

The accommodation had a nice view, but it was a bit hard to reach because it's high on the hill. We liked it because it was quiet. When we arrived it was cold and they welcomed us with nice tea and a fire to heat up.

located on the edge of Nuwaraeliya town with beautiful views of the town below, really pretty during the day. The shared areas were the best parts - fireplace, carom board, cozy vibes. Staff were incredibly lovely and tried their best to accomodate our requests. 100% would recommend if you were after a mountains getaway with a group of friends on a budget. I travelled with a big group that included my 66 years old mother. The location was not ideal for an elderly person. The paved roads disappear on the way up the mountain and they become narrower and narrower. Even though it’s 2km out of town, the roads are pitch black at night - not easily accessible at night through winding mountain roads with no light. Also, if you travel in a big van like we did, parking is pain. Getting a big van up the hill and keeping it safe overnight was a huge concern. The hotel didn’t warn us about this despite my booking being for 6 people. Some of the amenities listed on this website were never seen during our stay. Ironing facilities, hair dryer etc.

I like the old colonial style of this hotel. They made fire for us in the fire place which make it very comfortable. Besides, the from the room was amazing. We loved it a lot. The guide Mr. Ari was really good for taking us around. We loved him because of his caring nature❤️.

Incredibly good and helpful staff. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast with a very nice view every morning. The man who works here can also take you on a tour around to see the tea plantation and the different waterfalls, incredibly nice experience.😊

For the price and cold location, the ability to have enough hot water for showers should be available.

Amazing views, very clean, comfortable rooms, warm blankets for the cold nights. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Other guests talking and smoking on the small adjoined balcony with ours. Too loud and smelled awful. However, the staff promptly removed them when brought this to their attention. That area should not be public. We did not get to experience the fireplace which was a major reason we booked for the holidays vibe.

We had the balcony room on the top floor overlooking the mountains… absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable beds, tea kettle, hot showers, good WiFi! Lovely sunrise/sunset view! The decor in the hotel made you feel you were in a rustic family cabin. We LOVED IT! Staff were extremely kind and attentive. They specially made us a Sri Lankan breakfast during our stay.

Drive up the road to the homestay can be difficult for heavy vehicles

Extremely well maintained property with helpful and friendly staff. Great views of the mountains from the balcony. English breakfast is good and the fireplace was an icing on the cake :)
