Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. MaltaBreakfast which is served in the hotel lobby is quite basic and stuff is not always fresh. Cleanliness in the room leaves a lot to be desired (cleaning of room consisted of bed making and changing of towels only - no sweeping or washing of floors, no sheet changing in 5 days). The room is rarely ever washed - there is fluff under the bed and in room corners and things left in the wardrobe from previous guests (clothes tags) were still there. We asked for a couple more hangers in the room and the HK staff said they will bring them (day 1) but they never arrived. Pillows were thin and hard.
We loved the hotel restaurant (situated beneath the hotel) which had amazing food (their bruschetta, fillets and pasta al pistacchio are to die for). The hotel is an old semi-refurbished family-run hotel. Front office/ Breakfast staff were really friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and views from the room are beautiful. The hotel has a large pool at the hotel rooftop. The hotel is on a hill so the views from the pool area are amazing. Ample parking space on the hotel ground.

CanadaBeds were uncomfortable spring mattresses. The town that the hotel is located in is very small and does not seem very welcoming to tourists.
Staff was extremely friendly, rooms were very clean and updated. Pool area is very nice and the restaurant was VERY good.

FranceHair in the swimming pool. Shower with water shortage but quickly solved. Breakfast was fine but with the heat, meat, yogurts etc could have been kept in a fridge.
The restaurant attached to the hotel. Good value and great service by very nice people. Family atmosphere. Hotel staff always ready to help at thé desk and cleaning ladies.

CanadaThe lobby was not air conditioned. It was an extremely hot week +40°c and they chose not to put it on. Our room had no fridge and in the second room it didn t work. Not enough toiletries...soap. Also too many stairs to go to the pool, especially for our 93year old mother.
The restaurant that was a part of the hotel was absolutely great. Delicious and authentic Sicilian food for a reasonable price. Breakfast was good too.

MaltaHotel needs a refurbishment, it's really dated and drab. That replaced the bed and Wadrobe in our room. Bed looked nice but was really uncomfortable.
We travel to this hotel for the amazing restaurant! It's our favourite restaraunt in Sicily and have been going there for 10 years now. You won't be disappointed, it's amazing!! The staff are just lovely. Safe parking, great views. We always buy olive oil here as well it's great 😃

United StatesA bit old and the electrical outlets are too few. There were guests in the next room that were smoking and they also had a dog that would bark- so we were not able to enjoy the balcony and the fresh air of the countryside.

GermanyThe matresses were quite hard.
It has a very authentic Sicilian restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and food is tasty and value for money. Worth to go there for the restaurant alone. We had a room with balcony and it was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the now quiet town at night. The hotel was built 1992 and is a bit outdated but charming. We didn’t use the pool so cannot say anything about it. Breakfast was simple.

KenyaThe breakfast was very good. The dinner was at the adjacent restaurant which was very good on all counts. The chef/waiter stoked up the oven to provide heat to our table. There was a language barrier so the host took over the choices including the wine selection. The food was delicious. The price was very fair and overall it was a friendly cultural experience that will remain memorable for many years!

UruguayVery noisy up to midnight and in the early mornings, but I guess this has to do more with the culture than with the hotel.
This review is based upon comparing this hotel with others in the region and not comparing it with "international" standards. Having said that, I liked the staff's friendliness, room's size and location. It's most probably one of the best hotels in this area, for a moderate price at least.

MaltaWe had to close the bathroom door because a smell of drainage kept coming out. That wasn't nice. Wi-Fi was also very slow but the drain smell... They should fix that asap.
The location of the hotel is very good and having a safe place to park is always a good bonus. The restaurant also serves very good food.

United KingdomIt was very quiet, I’m just not sure it was what we had in mind. There was a pool to use however we decided to leave early as we didn’t feel too comfortable here. There was breakfast which was nice. Overall feel of the hotel was very quiet, a bit outdated and the staff weren’t too forthcoming. At the restaurant where we had our dinner, the main course came out whilst I was still eating my starter, the waiter tried to take my plate off me before I had finished which I didn’t enjoy.
The room was clean and the view was very nice!
