We loved staying at il Palchetto! Silvia was a great and really accommodating host and I would most definitely recommend staying here. The room and bathrooms were clean and well kept, within close walking distance to bustling parts of the city, and still quiet for a good nights sleep. Silvia had some great recommendations for places to go, eat, and drink and made our stay in Palermo super easy!

I loved this B&B - perfect location on a quiet street, but only minutes to all the main sights. My room was really stylish and comfortable, and everything was of the highest quality. The pictures don’t really do it justice. Silvia was a wonderful host and very hospitable. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. I appreciated having cooked eggs for a small additional charge. I loved that Silvia really cares about sustainability - chilled filtered water was available in glass bottles and the shower gel and shampoo was in large refillable bottles instead of those little disposable plastic ones that are terrible for the environment. I wish more B&B owners were as environmental minded as Silvia. Amazing value for money.

Silvia has created a wonderful haven right in the heart of the old centre of Palermo. Just moments from busy market alleys yet only a few minutes walk from the best shopping streets. Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Very safe and peaceful and a two minute walk from secure paid car parking which Silvia was kind enough to book for us. She was extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast was great. Roomy shower and strong water pressure.

The host was incredibly sweet and helpful, the position of the BnB was central, just down the street from the Theatre, there was a side street that looks a little dodgy but it’s completely safe. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were wonderful and the breakfast with homemade cakes and fresh fruit was a wonderful start to the day.

Location is perfect! Adjacent to the main street with all the restaurants and cafes ... so quiet but centrally located. Easy check-in Silvia arranged parking and a taxi afterwards.

Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect.

Since I was a solo traveler, Silvia was amazing in making sure I had a transfer as I had a late flight and would be checking in after the check in time. The room was soo beautiful, I had Rosalia (the yellow one) but you can pick what room you prefer (subject to availability I presume). The breakfast was very Italian and perfect for me. She had some homemade jams, cakes, savoury breakfast aswel as gluten free options. The coffee was delicious too. I was very impressed with the fact that my room was cleaned every morning without me even asking (I personally didn’t mind if it wasn’t cleaned but I was very appreciative). Overall I definitely recommend this place, esp for solo travelers. Oh and the location was PERFECT. Very close to the centre yet tucked away so that you can’t hear the crowds and loud nights. Definitely will be coming back :)

There is a single negative thing about this property.

This place is EXCEPTIONAL! There is not a single bad thing to say about this place. Silva is the perfect host and her property is as perfect as she is. Her recommendations for restaurants were spot on, as well as her breakfasts. I have traveled far and wide and this is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed at. The location was also excellent.

There's really nothing to complain about, it's a great place, nicely located. You just need to remember that if you choose a small B&B, you cannot expect the same experience as in a big hotel--for me and my 80-year-old Mom it was in many ways better; for others it might not be. Depends on what you like.

Il Palchetto is a lovely, small B&B, designed with care (cute themed decor in the rooms) and cosy. It's located close (walking distance) or very close to all major sightseeing points of the city, on a quiet street. Our room (Oliva) was comfortable--great to rest after full days of walking and sightseeing; it has a big bathroom. The continental breakfasts included in the price were fresh and tasty. A fridge, kettle, coffee-maker, assorted teas and coffee, as well as melba toast are available all day in the common area--which is super convenient. Everything was sparkling clean. The host, Silvia, is very accommodating, communicative, and just a nice and helpful person.

Beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Sylvia is a wonderful host, providing a scrumptious breakfast (including home baked cake and biscuits) and very helpful advice. Excellent location for sightseeing. Very safe and secure building. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I don't know where to start writing this review. Everything exceeded my expectations. I travel a lot for work but this was far the best stay I had so far. The location is perfect, in the center. Amazing atmosphere inside of the facility and the room itself. The attention to details is beyond expectation. The host is amazing, attentive, super friendly. The room and all round is super clean. Amazing really. If i come back I will stay again.
