How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We stayed 1 night.Our hotelroom was beautifull decorated and clean. It was on the groud floor. A good bed, airco, small bathroom, good shower and a good breakfast. Alfonso had a private parkingplace for us. The B&B is 5 minutes walking from restaurants, shops, the beach and a busstop to Amalfi, Positano etc. Around the corner is a roodtopbar, which has a nice view. It is a good place to stay. we were there in may and Maiori was nice and in Amalfi & Positano it was crowded with to many tourists. We loved Maiori. We were sorry to leave. We had a fantastic time!

The hosts were super nice. They gave us some great tips on how to best explore the Amalfi coast and prepared a good and fresh breakfast every morning. The B&B is close to a bus stop, which takes you straight to Amalfi. Parking was available in a locked garage under the house.

We couldn't figure out the air conditioning but that might have just been on us.
The owners were so lovely. They provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and gave us lots of suggestions on where to go and things to see and try. They made us breakfast every morning and also cleaned our room each day while we were out. The area was quiet so there wasn't any noise at night, and also has great pizza next door. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and would come again!

couldn't really get a lie in as as 3 rooms led onto the shared kitchen where breakfast was served, so the early risers consistently woke up my partner who likes to sleep in on holiday (I'm an early riser too so didn't worry me in the least)
everything you could want, close to the beach, lovely owners who were always on hand if you needed anything, nice assortment of food at breakfast buffet so both me and my partner could have something to eat first thing (he's gluten intolerant I'm lactose intolerant). immaculately clean and comfortable.

Nothing comes to mind.
Breakfast was simply amazing with Alfonso providing a wide range of hot and cold plus makes the best coffee every morning. The location is with 50m to beach, buses, supermarket and restaurants also perfect and with excellent security.....we loved our stay.

The owners are very nice and friendly. Very good espresso and breakfast. They went above and beyond to help us locate a lost bag at the train station.

All was good.
Travelling to Amalfi coast with the cas is the challenge. That's why we have chosen Galatea b&b. And yes, the host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us with everything! My 10* go to the host! Facilities are clean and comfortable. The kitchen is a bit tight, but who cooks in Maiory! The location is very central, easy walking to the buses, boats, and restaurants. Very nice experience. And I am happy we have chosen Maiori to stay and not other famous destinations, which are much better to visit on daily basis, but stay in calm of Maiori. Thank you!

The only small inconvenience was quite bad soundproofing. The rest was great.
The owner was extremely hospitable (I had a back trauma, and he offered to bring me to the ER, and then took me back). Breakfast is served by the owner, the cappuccino was the best I have tried in a long time. The place is clean, you even have a small coffee machine in your room. Great stay, we will definitely come back :)

A little too much noise from people living in the same building, but not continuous. We slept well in the end.
Very clean room, very comfortable. Alfonso and his wife were extremely kind and attentive to our needs. One day we had to leave before breakfast time and Alfonso left us some things to eat the night before. It was a pleasure to have known them. Mille grazie! :)
