Compared to other hostels, it might be considered just a bit more expensive.

I really loved Retroverse Hostel. Since I’m a big fan of retro concepts, it was an extra special experience. On the top floor, there are machines where you can rediscover retro games, as well as a TV, foosball table, and board games. The room was spacious and air-conditioned. Even though I stayed in an 8-bed room, it felt roomy and offered enough personal space. The room had two bathrooms and two toilets, and the closets were large enough to fit both hand luggage and a suitcase comfortably. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location is right in the heart of Athens. If I come back, this will definitely be one of the first places I check.

The top bed did not have any bedside storage whatsoever. I had to leave my phone on the mattress next to me and hope it will not fall through the space between the bed and the wall (as it was not fully connected). I don't know how this could have been missed in such a well designed hostel, but super easy to fix.

The retro games design is modern and really cool. Our room had two toilets, two sinks and two showers, which is great as you dont spend time waiting. Everything was super clean and comfortable.

I had a fantastic experience staying at Retroverse Hostel. The accommodations were comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the amenities—including air conditioning, showers, and kitchen equipment—worked perfectly throughout my stay. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and polite, making me feel right at home. I also had the chance to meet some interesting fellow travelers. I highly recommend Retroverse Hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay! 😊

Bathrooms are pretty, clean and all new but a little bit unpractical (not much space to take der cloth in shower area or leave own Utensils anywhere) Still not bad, works:)

Nice Hostel, very good Location and big Common area, very friendly people, easy to reach all interesting places from there, nice bakery around the corner and bars and Restaurant in short walking distance

It’s a modern and clean hostel. Athens is an expensive city for backpackers but this was worth it for what I usually pay.

Nothing really.

The rooms are extremely modern. I stayed in a room of 6 and there was 2 showers, 2 sinks and 2 toilets, and very recently renovated with great confort in them. The beds are equipped with a curtain and provide a privacy. They all come with your own light, a socket, a drawer, and a locker (a key is provided at check in) containing your personal towel. I was 2h earlier than the check in time but as my bed was ready I was granted access then. In the same street, there is a quite affordable greek bistro, and the hostel is 10 minutes away from Psiri and Monasteraki where the night life is the best.

8-person dorm says private bathroom. Private bathroom to me means it's only for my use. Ok so I'm a bit dumb thinking I could have a private bathroom in a 8-bed dorm but the wording needs to change to "Shared bathroom in 8-bed dorm".

Great value for money. Comfortable beds and modern design and the common area is cool. The location is close to the main attraction but the street is a bit deadbeat tbh. Overall a great experience and staff.

I have stayed in many hostels in Athens and though this is new the attention to detail makes me think that Athens is rethinking what Hostels should be for the modern traveller. It was luxurious for a hostel and on the edge of Xarchia... A brilliant, edgy neighbourhood

This hostel is perfect

Immaculately clean and beautifully designed modern hostel. Perfect white cotton bedding and fluffy towels provided. Honestly the best beds I have found in any hostel. Air con. Black out curtains to each of the built-in bunks. Light and electricity. Large lockers and keys provided. Silence! The first night I slept 18 hours! I had a wonderful breakfast at the cafe found by turning right and right again, just around the corner from the hostel. Excellent location. Will certainly use again the next time I am in Athens.

They don't offer breakfast ( it's a suggestion) The kitchen needs aspirator ( a customer made a steak one day he filled the room with smoke)

The hostel theme is all about old video games and there is plenty that you can choose from . It's a new hostel so everything is new and clean . The rooms were clean ( cleaned every day) The kitchen have retro vibes it looks nice with all needed equipment for your stay. The last floor they have a common area with a balcony ,recommended for a night rest.

Would be good to have a fan in the bathrooms as it got quite stuffy, the bathrooms were also a little small so it was hard to shower without getting the clean clothes wet sometimes.

Very well located near the metro. Lockers and curtains available for each bunk, linen and (fluffy!) towel provided, clean, never had to wait for the shower or toilet. Friendly staff :)

Great hostel with very friendly staff, located in walking distance to many attractions in Athens. The rooms and facilities are modern and clean and the dorms are comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend a stay here!

The area isn't the safest but since the hostel is really close to the metro it's fine i think. Maybe there could be a shelf in the bathroom to put some stuff on it, would make things a bit easier.

I liked the theme! People were friendly and really helpful especially reception! The beds were comfy, sheets and bathrooms were clean. Close to the metro station, easy transportation. There's a great kitchen and a good hangout area upstairs. I felt safe sleeping there.

Location was close to a weird neighbour but nothing to worry about if you don’t go few streets down there.

The hostel was newly build and everything was very clean, all the amenities in the kitchen were new and clean. The staff was very nice also.

The only downside is the location of the hostel, as it’s in an area that can feel a bit unsafe to get to or leave from at night, so keep that in mind.

Melina, the daytime shift girl, was very kind and helpful from the moment I arrived. Her attention and recommendations gave me a warm welcome and a great first impression of Athens. The hostel is very cozy and offers all the services you might need. It is very well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable, functional, and have good lockers.

Place is beyond expectation they have modern building that offers than the normal hostel.. 2 toilets in a shared rooms. Very clean.. and the location is centrally located in the hearts of Athens. Shops, resto and metro are just minutes to walk..
