The only gripe was that the handle on the shower control was broken off, but it still sort of worked. They also didn't have a breakfast option, which would have been nicer. All that said, I would say there again. We only stayed one night because our ferry was cancelled.

Nice modern hotel with a great pool. Clean and well-appointed. The location is good, but it a decent walk from the bus terminal with luggage.

A little further away than other places from the restaurants and other activities of Fira but still easy to walk to the mini market and main street!

Wonderful hotel, the room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. The pool was lovely and a good size with quite a few sunbeds and umbrellas around it, as well as outdoor sofas and chairs/tables. We got a really good Genius deal on our room which is the main reason we picked this hotel, but even at full price I think it would have been decent value for money if you are interested in a more restful pool holiday.

Clean, stylish rooms! Beds were made and rooms cleaned daily. Reception were amazing and 24/7 service. Pool clean and so nice. Short uphill walk to the main area and to the cliff edge. Was perfect to step out of the chaos when we got home a short walk away.

It was a comfortable stay. I thought places like Santorini you need to pay so much to have an average stay. But I was wrong. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and we took advantage of pool and balcony too. Location was good too.

First of all, Golden Star is a proper hotel. It might not be a seaside frontline hotel with a sunset view but it ticks all the checkboxes when it comes to "decent place to stay in Santorini". Our room was large enough, spotless clean and very comfortable. The reception staff has also been very kind and professional. The pool area was a really nice place to rest and enjoy a few hours of tranquility. As we had a rented car, we particularly appreciated the fact that the hotel has its own spacious parking. Also, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main street with bars and restaurants and 8-10 minutes drive to the airport (is was our last day in Santorini and this was important)
