Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe couldn’t use the balcony as there was a constant driping of water from above. This was partly due to the weather melting the snow, but didn’t seem to affect other balconies the way it did ours and meant we weren’t able to sit out once. This is the only fault I could find with the property.
It was very clean and well presented. It had everything you needed, plenty of crockery and a starter kit of essentials that you would need for the kitchen which was very helpful. The staff were all incredibly helpful.

United Arab EmiratesWe were allocated a room we had been told was floor 1, however, in the building it was in it was the equivalent to -4. It felt like the basement. Not very clean. The bar was closed 4 out of the 7 days we were there.
3 bedroom apartment is a generous size with three bathrooms. Nice living area. Great location for ski in/out. Staff were helpful in reception.

MalaysiaLocation is a tad far from the ESF meeting point i.e. uphill. Since we were with family and beginners it was a hard uphill walk. One can easily call the horse sleigh to assist.
Very comfortable locations with access to almost everything we need ie. ski shops, rentals, restaurant. We stayed at the Chandra wing so its really close to the reception. Travel from reception upon arriving is via underground no no need to drag luggages through the snow. From Amara it is a short walk / ski away to the Proclou run.

United KingdomSofa was very uncomfortable (seems to also be a sofa bed and the seat cushions kind of slide off…) which is not really what you want when coming back from skiing. Little things like there being no sharp knives or wooden spoons in the kitchen was a bit annoying. Also no oven - just a microwave. Pool was disappointing - cold, small (considering the massive size of the complex) so very busy. Just one outdoor jacuzzi so very hard to get in it.
Amazing views, comfortable beds, great location near to pistes. Reception staff were helpful. Lovely being able to watch the horse taxi pick up the kids for ski school outside the front door.

United KingdomCheck in was disappointing. We tried to check in at 5.00pm as stated and were informed it is 'after 5.00pm' and our apartment wasn't ready. We eventually got our keys at 5.45pm. Having driven from England, we were really tired, so it would have helped if we could have sat in the bar, had a drink and relaxed to enjoy the amazing views … but … there was a sign stating that the bar is closed until the end of March! When I enquired why the bar was shut, I was informed that 'it is not possible to open it at this time'. ( Such a shame as the bar area is lovely, but all stools were stacked behind a bar, that look beautiful) ( 5 star with no bar area available was disappointing! ) That said, the following day, the Manager contacted us to apologise for the late check in and a gift of a pot of wonderful honey and toiletries was left in our apartment, which was a kind gesture. I appreciate that delays can happen, so I want to reiterate that this is a lovely place to stay with amazing views above the clouds. The heated boot room led straight out onto a lovely slope, suitable for all abilities.

United Arab EmiratesAs usual there were minor issues with the reception, we arrived at 01:30 AM, they gave us the key, we went into the room, but the key was not working. This scenario has repeated and we were exhausted by 6 hours flight and 2 hours driving. They have to check the cards prior guests arrival. The reception has tried to charge the parking twice. However after an explanation that we have already paid, they agreed it is fine. However the way how this whole thing happened was unpleasant. Nevertheless, we mark 10/10 for the stay which was romantic, snowy and very pleasant. We love AVORIAZ, and this hotel is a very nice place. Be patient with the reception, many people are at the training there or something like this.
I like the proximity of slopes, the spa and the nearest restaurant.

United StatesThe room was ready very late. I believe we had to wait until 9pm so after a long drive it wasn’t ideal. The apartments are a little outdated/ beaten up. We rented an apartment for 6 and only received 2 bath robes. No shampoo or body wash. The spa was already fully booked for the entire week when we arrived on Saturday.
The pool/ sauna is terrific after a day skiing.

IrelandDishwasher wasn’t working properly. Bar was closed on Weds and Thurs as the bar person broke her leg. Thurs was the advertised kids activities with “cotton candy, popcorn, hot apple juice and mulled wine”. None of this was available as the bar was closed. Finally after lots of complaints from parents, someone came over and took drink orders. The “hot apple juice” ended up being 4 bottles of apple juice from the bar and we were charged 5.50 euro each which seems excessive. I assumed maybe the kids treats would be free for the activity.
Second time staying here. Love the pool, spa and access for drop offs. My wife had a massage at Deep Nature and it was one of the best she’s had. The hotel staff were friendly and leant out sleds whenever we asked for them. The ski locker was also very convenient. Our room had a great view.

United KingdomYou had to pay €22 to get into the jacuzzi and it was freezing. It is outside and I understand the weather outside is cold but the water should be really warm. Very disappointing and it should be included in the pool area and foc. The cues for the pool table were damaged at the ends and not really useable. It was a shame because the pool table was great and something to entertain on an evening. Could do with more useable cooking utensils such as wooden spoon/spatula.
The apartment was on two floors and like being at home Heated ski boot rack in the ski lockers was soooo good. Views were amazing and easy to ski in ski out. Well equipped with racks to dry clothes, dishwasher etc. Gym was great with some good cardio machines and a few light weights.

United KingdomThis is not regarding the property but booking.com They falsely advertise the local tax is included in your booking but in fact it is not so beware! Unless you book directly with the property you have to pay this on checkout. Also the parking during summer season is 60 euros a week not 100 as some reviews state! That's in winter. We thought that was a fair price.
Pitch perfect! Clean comfy rooms, stunning views and has everything you could need. Own parking, spa, sauna, pool, bakery delivery to reception, launderette separately paid for if you need it. The kitchen has everything you need but we did bring our own cleaning products and kitchen rolls.l as well as extra toilet paper. Supermarket and bakery 5 min walk away. Plenty of towels for everyone. Even the sofa bed was huge and comfy which we didn't expect. We will be back for sure! Loved it. The property is multi pass approved so you can get a huge discount but you have to book directly through their website which we did not know.
