We had a fabulous one night stay in THB Felip. The staff were outstanding in their welcome and service. The breakfast was extensive and excellent. It was wonderful to be next to the beach and to be able to have drinks on the terrace overlooking the harbour.

The air-conditioning in the annex building was quite loud at night, not comfortable for light sleepers. We were able to switch rooms but unfortunately the noise was even louder there (general vent of the building). It probably depends on the room.

It's rare for me to say this:but this hotel is perfection.

Every one of my 7 days here-the staff (reception,restaurant,bar,cleaning)was cheerful,gracious,polite. This hotel has the feel of a family run operation.Comfortable bed,good air con,strong wifi,modern bathrooms-just a wonderful hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets served delicious and healthful food-all 14 of my meals there.Option to dine indoors or on an expansive terrace overlooking the charming harbor and beach.The marble floors and Art Deco design lift this hotel to the top tier of 4-star hotels.There is not a nicked baseboard or a smudge on any walls-the hotel seems constantly refreshed.Even the terrace ironwork appeared freshly painted. Gym had a few strength training machines and treadmills. This was my second year staying here-and it won't be my last. Hotel is a 30 -second walk to the beach and 60 seconds to the ferries that go up and down the coast.

One small problem was getting in and out of the pool, as the water level was quite low and there was quite a step down to the ladder and a big step up to get out. Steps at the front of the hotel are tricky especially carrying luggage. There is no ramp. Fine if you are young and able-bodied which I'm not. There is no parking at the hotel but you can pull up at the front door for a few minutes to unload. Parking nearby is chargeable between 10 am and 6 pm but there is plenty of free parking on the streets about 200 meters away. Luckily, I had my husband with me to help.

Fantastic location in a small town, right opposite the beach and near to the harbour, shops and restaurants. Clean, comfortable room with everything you could need. We were upgraded to a sea-view room at no extra cost. We arrived after midnight and we were presented with a cold supper on arrival, which was really appreciated as everything was closed and we were hungry. Every member of staff was helpful and cheerful and appreciated our attempts at speaking Spanish. Really generous measures of spirits from the bar. A small garden and pool at the rear with sunbeds which was quiet and nice for relaxing. The food was excellent, so much choice and all cooked fresh every day. We don't eat meat but there was seafood, fish and lots of fruit and vegetables to choose from. A huge choice of desserts. The hotel is comfortable and not too modern. We loved staying here.

Coming to the reception was not a great experience and having to wear a bracelet and not getting a tradition hotel key reminded of an all exclusive set-up. Finally, not being able to get a la carte for dinner not a positive

The reception staff varied and apart from the male were not super welcoming. As a solo traveller this is important. The spa facilities are small and really need an upgrade. The soundproofing is not perfect - I could hear next doors TV clearly and some noise from the corridor and room cleaning but not too intrusively. There was a bad smell of meat cooking often, (being in a room at the back there was the hotel kitchen and Burger King next door - I couldn’t work out the origin), particularly strong and all day on Sunday which as a vegetarian was really bad and I had to keep my door closed even when it was hot and sit inside and not in the balcony - one of the main facilities I had chosen the hotel for. Dinner options for vegetarians are limited for the price, and given what omnivorous guests have available to choose from. For my part, I believe they would have been better if I had communicated my needs in advance. I couldn’t get the TV or AC to work and didn’t want to ask, so some written instructions would have been useful!!

The location is excellent. The breakfast is exceptional. The beds are super comfy and good quality pillows and bedding. The room cleaning standard was excellent and the girl was lovely and happy. Sara the Osteopath massage woman is outstanding - I had 4 treatments in total (2 x 1 hour sessions of 2 different treatments each time) and I have muscoskeletal issues, and she helped a lot and was super lovely and relaxing
