How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hosts were a bit rude, there was a big event at the time of arrival, which caused everyone a lot of stress, and the check-in process was very unfriendly. Some flexibility from the staff would have been nice, the hotel restaurant was not open that night so we went to look for some pizza at town, we came back and we expected to eat it at a table outside (our baby was sleeping) but they didn't allow us to sit and eat, we had to take the pizza to our room and eat it inside with our baby sleeping...
The location is great for a calm stay around the wine fields and mountains. The bed was ok and the room size also it was fine, we were travelling with a 1 year old baby who sleeps with us, so it was fine.

When we arrived we were told that the restaurant had been fully booked out for a party so they couldn't offer us any food. We asked if we could bring back some food and eat outside in the courtyard and was told this wasn't allowed. we explained that we had been travelling all day and just wanted to eat. the receptionist did give us the name of some restaurants in the neighbouring village and town which we then had to drive to and get some food. not ideal.
Really lovely hotel in an amazing location. Our room was adequate but the view across the valley was spectacular.

We have a cat also we had to paid a supplement of 20€. Room was a bit cold once the heating turned off, we were not able to turn it on again.
All good! Check in staff very nice. There is parking inside the hotel, not many spots but they were all available then I was there. Super quiet place! Room is equipped with a little kitchen.

The noise from the nieigjbours on the ground floor late at night and no supervision around.
The big apatrment located near Poblet to which we can walk. The swimming pool.

Apartment was cramped, old and decayed, sofa was very settled out and filthy, kitchen had only a 2 burner electric hot plate to cook on, sleeping rooms had very little storage room. (But some apartments clearly were renovated and seemed to have a new kitchen, sofa etc. A pity we got the old mess.) The swimming pool had restricted opening hours (and we never understood why). Terrain very noisy with a lot of loud families and a lot of barking dogs in the surrounding apartments.
Swimming pool, terrace and lobby of the hotel were nice. The beds in the apartment were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not enough options for vegetarians on menu, not much around the area to walk too, needed to drive into the town
Beautiful location, fabulous outdoor swimming pool. Staff were all lovely. The hotel building was beautiful

Hotel felt quite isolated which was ok but would have been good to have somewhere to eat or at least get a drink. Accept it probably coming to end of season. Booked partly as it had a pool. Then found out day before that it closed on day we arrived. Restaurant also shut and neared places a drive away and limited and not very inviting. Town not particularly nice. Did however get recommendation for a pizza cafe that was ok. Bathroom cramped and would have been nice to have a kettle. Espresso breakfast seemed quite expensive in comparison to other places we stayed. Ok. It won’t rush back particularly in September. Disappointed by lack of view of monastery too
Nice building and looks like it was quite grand. Room and bed were comfortable

Kitchen needs to be better equipped - it could do with larger glasses and cups, microwavable bowls, tea towels, and most importantly for English visitors - a kettle to boil water.
Our villa was nicely out of the way, so nice and quiet.

room was poorly lit. shower didn’t work well, it was hard to regulate water temperature (either very hot or very cold). windows insulation is not great, can be colder during winter
stuff was very welcoming and friendly, nice location surrounded by green and very quiet. double bed was confortable.
