Sophie is a wonderful host who has thought of everything. Very comfortable beds and lounge. Nice sunny balcony with ocean view. Beautifully decorated in a coastal style. St Feliu is a lovely town with a very nice beach. We enjoyed the coastal walk to Sant Pol beach, which was our favourite.

We were kept by force in the apartment by the owner and her son and I had to ask the local police to let us free. I paid 700 euros for 3 nights with parking and last cleaning (55 euros). The owner did not like that leaving apartment I did not make the cleaning myself and decided to keep us as hostages. After 1 hour the police let us free but this crime (becuse this is a crime - keeping somebody in captivity) will be reported to Polish consulate with all consequnces. Our children were very scared as we were only to leave the key but did not come back to the car and they didn't know what was going on. The owner doesn't speak English at all although this language is declared in the desription. From the start we would have avoided many problems if the owner had stopped talking all the time French although we didn't understand her and asked her to start speaking English. She was not listening just ignored our requests. In the description lacks important information about "junkers" (danger of carbon monoxide) which is used for heating water and to gass cooker. The view out of balcony is different than on the photos. There is a new building and a big crane in front of the balcony so the view of the sea is strictly limited. Other rooms overlook rubbish bins and the rubbish is collected even after midnight so it is very noisy and we couldn't sleep. There are no cleaning utensils like dishwasher tablets or a regular dish clothes so I had to wipe tables with a sponge. Cleaning products were also declared in the kitchen equipment but not available.

I would like to clarify a few things about what I've read. If these travelers experienced horror, well,so did I. First of all, these travelers arrived extremely angry. They began by doing a car skid in the parking lot. They spoke to me with agression, violence, and irritation. I was accompanied by my daughter-in-law, as she speaks English and works with me to ensure good communication. As for me, I admit my English is basic, I don't hide that, but with other guests from all over the world, our communication has always gone well thanks to Google Translate, which is very helpful nowadays. My daughter-in-law was so shocked by their aggression that she had an anxiety attack. I don't understand how these travelers English, as not everyone they meet will necessarily speak English. Once inside the appartment, nothing seemed to satisfy them. In the middle of the night, at 1 a.m., they sent me a message to say they couldn't connect to the Wifi, but after checking when they left, everything was working fine. I was attentive to each of their response was, "We don't want to see you". I have always been available for my guests, so being harassed with critical messages about my apartment and then receiving such a response is very hurtful. I have never had unhappy guests-on the contrary, this is evident in previous reviews. My apartments are equipped with kitchen linens and cleaning products, so I don't understand their comments. They were able to send me messages about alleged issues, but if they didn't find the didn't ask me about it, which suggests it wasn't really a problem for them. It's confusing because there are cleaning products in the apartment, and I verify this with each guest when they arrive to answer any questions they might have. To clarify, there isn't a gas stove, but there is a gas oven and an induction cooktop. When they left, I asked my son to accompany me because I was anxious after what happened on the day of their arrival-their aggression towards me. And then, I found the apartment in a deplorable state after just three nights. The dishes were put in the dishwasher with food still on them, the trash was overflowing onto the floor, they used placemats as floor mats, and plants were uprooted and spilled on the balcony. I only asked them to clean out the dishwasher and empty the trash, and once again; they responded aggressively. Their 20-year-old son pushed me, causing me to fall. I had to call the police, who escorted them out and noted the damages. Regarding the crane, the construction work is nearing completion, and the trash is collected in the evening. This was also during the festival week. None of this bothered my other guests, as in summer, they prefer to be outside rather than staying inside the apartment. I want to share these details with the Booking community to prevent this from happening to others. I also ask Booking to blacklist these guests from my future bookings.

I would like to clarify a few things about what I've read. If these travelers experienced horror, well,so did I. First of all, these travelers arrived extremely angry. They began by doing a car skid in the parking lot. They spoke to me … Show more

Very comfortable and warm welcoming hostesses. Sophie couldn’t be there in person but her mom met us at the apartment and was delightful in helping us parked our car and settled into our apartment. If you reserve a private parking space in the building be sure to get one that doesn’t require missing a column to get in and out. Another car next to our reserved place hadn’t parked properly and that made it quite challenging for my husband to get our car in even with my help and Sophie’s mom help. Made for a good ice breaking moment 😊. Very responsive host and apartment was spacious enough for 2 or 3. We didn’t use the balcony much since it was cool, but enjoyed the natural light and ocean glimpses. Sophie had equipped the apartment very well and more. This was unusual and we appreciated her thoughtfulness. Plenty of dishes, cooking instruments and necessities. She also left us some treats in the fridge! Very sweet and caring hostess who made sure we were happy and was responsive to all questions. We were there for 4 nights. 2 days sightseeing in St Feliu (must do one coastal hike) and 2 days of day trips to Figueres for Dali Theatre Museum (must see) and a few small towns nearby. If you are going to use the oven, let Sophie know so the gas and pilot light can be turned on. One thing about the hot water in demand in the shower was when it first gets hot, don’t get under right away. Wait until it goes cold and then back hot the second time. After the second hot, water stays hot. This is the way of some hot water on demand and we didn’t know. The WiFi was fine in the living area but weak in the bedrooms and Sophie is planning to put in an amplifier there to help. I was glad to be able to practice my rusty French with Sophie and her mom. That was fun. We would happily stay at Sophie’s again and recommend her place.

Not a major problem at all. Because of the old building infrastructure, the plumbing pipes were loud in the big bedroom when someone took a morning shower. The hot water kettle and dishwasher were loud when used but they both worked fine.
