Even though the carpark had barriers and cameras I would still put disc-locks / extra locks on bikes as there is a large open section next to the entrance barrier.

Really nice hotel with carpark underneath that had cameras and barriers. Rooms were a nice big size with a good shower. We didn’t venture out as it was a short stop off on the motorbike’s, so I can’t comment on the area. Friendly and helpful staff, we did have a problem in our first room which they tried to resolve but in the end offered us an alternative room just down the corridor.

The room facing the supermarket meant that lorries were delivering or unloading at odd times during the night. That is a bit disturbing.

They could have at least a longer opening hours of their small bar, where we can have drinks & unwind after a long day.

Our room was great for a family with 2 kids. Very spacious, with a small living room and a separate room for the kids and the bed was also ok. Breakfast was also great.

Oddly, the hotel does not have stairs, only an elevator over 4 floors. There is however a set of stairs which is the fire escape route from every floor through a brown door, this is labelled only in German and while customers are not supposed to use them, I did not understand the notice in German and I found one of these doors leading to the stairwell left open and I tried to use them instead of the elevator. The issue is that the doors only have a push-bar handle on the hotel side, and no way to open ANY of the doors on the stairwell back into the hotel. The door closed behind me, and the exit door at bottom of the stairwell also did not open as it was jammed, so I ended up being stuck in the stairwell and had to get a family member to let me out by calling them on my mobile. This was a minor issue for me, but a child accidentally getting stuck in the stairwell would have been a big deal. As the doors are not alarmed, this could easily happen.

Breakfast was optional, it was of a good standard, but nothing out of the ordinary. Hotel was very clean and looked fairly new. They had secure parking, however our car with roof box couldn't fit, so we parked on the street by the hotel. The area seemed safe, we didn't have any issues and on-street parking was free. Beds were comfortable, and rooms rather spacious. 3 bedroom ensuite was especially comfortable, with 2 separate rooms and a little lounge area. There's a supermarket just behind the hotel, and a pizza take-away some 5min. away on foot.
