The room could be a little cleaner. There was a bit of dust on top of lamps, under the bed and those types of places.

A very nice and quiet hotel, with a good breakfast with a focus on quality over quantity. The decor is nice and the little playground is fun for the kids.

We really enjoyed everything about this place. There is no lift, so you need to be prepared to carry your luggage up an old winding castle staircase.

We wanted to stay in a real castle while visiting Germany. This property was an excellent choice. The staff was friendly, There was onsite parking. The town of Staufenberg was unremarkable, but the nearby town of Marburg was a great place to visit. We really enjoyed the restaurant in the basement with its old vaulted ceiling. The food and wine were good.

A better tea/hot water machine that one can use! Never seen such an awkward machine in my life before.

Our room and bathroom were small but clean. The Hotel isn't far from Marburg and close to the motorway. Breakfast was ok, nothing special.

The staff could be more friendly, but their no-smile attitude adds to the authentic vibe. Also double check when its restaurant closes. You are unlikely to find food in the village after it.

This hotel is located in a medieval castle, so it’s hard to compare it to regular hotels. If you’re looking for an authentic experience of living in a Grimm's German fortress, this is the place for you. The breakfast is fantastic and well-organised.

It was a little difficult for us to find the exact location and the entrance road of the hotel using our car navy. and the road signs were not so helpful for people who are travelling there for the first time.

The location was so nice and beautiful. The room was comfortable for the family and the staffs were really nice and polite. we enjoyed one night stay in the castle and I can say it was a unique experience.

This time, they changed the parking policy and now hotel guests have to pay 7,50€ per night. I mildly objected to this, esp. because restaurant guests don’t have to pay for parking (only hotel guests). The reply from the lady at check-in was “You can always leave your car somewhere else” but this was just disingenuous, since there is simply no parking in this village. In fact, it’s just a hidden price increase.

The wifi was very weak and unusable. I thought it was maybe not connected to the internet but a speed test showed it was but very slow! I made use of my phone to access business papers on the cloud.

We really enjoyed our stay. Although our suite was very comfortable it was annexed from the main hotel which was OK but not as expected. We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent and the staff were also excellent

Breakfast could have been nicer - nice setting but food quality/selection could be improved. Also, you have to select a specific time to come dine, which is fine, but with a baby it felt a bit restricted.

Reception staff might be more spontaneous when they see you in the morning again. That differs between employees. Anyhow, communication and connecting is something that takes time to develop.

Good Chef’s de cuisine! Good table service at Wednesday. But both Chef were excellent on Tuesday and Wednesday! They both can handle a severe food allergy excellent! Good communication!

My reservation requested to the receiption for dinner in the restaurant has been ignored. The staff just said "YES" but it no place reserved. One guy in the restaurant quite unfriendly and not willing to support but his colleague quite nice with great effort. At the end I get a place in "KELLER" and some food. There was annoyed again when I asked to pay. An unfriendly staff just looked at me with side of his eyes and said "You have to wait". During my stunned, another nice staff left his activities and help to clear my bill ....actually i total understood that they were busy with many clients but it would be nice if someone keep service mind to customer. I felt total disappoint from few persons for this visited and unforgetable. 😕
