Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The room was spacious, bed was so comfy and bathroom was clean. Location is perfect, nine minutes walk to the train station that connect to you to all the destinations. A 20 to 25 min to the grand place. I can't say that the area has alot of restaurants,as a few are near by. Room doesn't have a fridge but I would say it's not that important to many. Staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Hotel room was bigger that I was expecting. We didn't have any problem for the check-in even tho we were late for it. Location was perfect, almost walking distance to the center and all other touristic places. If you like to walk and not willing to use transport, this hotel's location is just perfect chose. Overall it was good for the price

UkraineOtherwise, there was almost no service. We didn't even have a fridge in the room for two people.
It was comfortable enough to come back after a long day. However, in this case all you need basically is to take a shower and a nap on a good bed. We had this, so we got the necessary minimum

FinlandIt was a shame that bathroom was not so clean, there is mold on the walls. I also did not like that there is only one duvet for two people, one towel was missing, there was no fridge, no glasses to drink water, nor iron. Breakfast was very plain, no warm food at all.
I liked that the bus/tram stops are near.

ColombiaFor some reason, it was the only place in all of Brussels where my card didn't work. They don't give you the option to pay in cash or any other solution. If you don't have another card, you have to leave with your luggage to find a solution, or in my case, another hotel.

BelarusCons: - ⚠️ Surrounding area concerns: Although the hotel itself is in a business zone, the nearby North Station area is known for high crime rates. We were shocked when we crossed the bridge and found ourselves on a street resembling a red-light district. - 🛏️ Room condition: - No ventilation system and a/c - Mold in the bathroom - Old furniture - Only an empty soap bottle provided - Questionable cleanliness
Pros: - 🏙️ Convenient location: The hotel is situated in a business district, close to office buildings and a police station, which adds a sense of security. It was no noise in the night from the street as well. - 🛒 Nearby amenities: Just a few steps away is a quite big grocery store called “Market,” which was very handy. - 🏛️ Spacious common areas: The lobby is large and welcoming, and there’s a pleasant inner courtyard for guests to relax. - 🙋♂️ Friendly staff: The hotel personnel were polite, helpful, and made us feel welcome. - 🚋 Easy access to the city center: Most attractions are within walking distance or easily reachable by tram/bus.

LebanonThe cleaning service. We stayed for 7 days yet when we requested to clean our room they passed and changed only the towels. They put 1 towel while we were 2 persons. We had to request cleaning the WC twice before they did.
The property’s location is perfect, 10 mns walking from the North Train Station, 4 mns walking from the Tram. And 25 mns walking from the Grand Palace. The property is clean, and the staff was helpful.

AustriaNothing was provided in the room, not even a glass or a plastic cup to use. There is no mini fridge. They only provide one towel for one person. You have to request a housekeeping service if you want to clean your room. We requested the room cleaning service and they didn't even vacuum the floor and make the bed or do anything at all. They just put the towels on the bed. It is free of charge but we expected a bit of tidying.
Easily accessible to the train and trams. Breakfast was okay for the price. The lounge was nice.

GermanyThe lighting in the room wasn't sufficient above the bed. The mini-bar (refrigerator) wasn't working. The breakfast had no scrambled or fried eggs, but there were boiled eggs. The swipe card for opening the room door lost magnetism very fast, despite not being in contact with electronics.I had to change it twice during my stay because I couldn't open my door anymore.
Friendly staff, clean and well-organized room. It's only a 25-minute walk to the city center and an 11-minute walk to the Nord train station. Breakfast is also available.

United KingdomOnly half of the beds were made, so we had to made the other ones.
Check-in was smooth. Parking was easy. The room was really large, we had two conjoined rooms. One with two single beds and a full bathroom and one with a bunk bed with half a bathroom. It was clean and quiet. It's a bit of a quirky location. Only a part of the building has been converted to hotel rooms, the other half seems to be unused. Some (former?) conference rooms, and loads of hotel doors without any numbers on them. If you accidentally walk the wrong way you can get lost for a bit. We tried to order food in the restaurant, and we were told it wasn't recommended as the pizzas were frozen (I appreciate the honesty!). There's an amazing restaurant (Sel & Miel) next door, really good food! There's also a nice park next to the hotel with a good playground for kids. The hotel itself also has a small play area. The breakfast was good.
