Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom was quite warm. The drawback of the very quiet rooms facing the fire escape is the lack of natural light coming through.
Friendly staff, the rooms towards the fire escape are exceptionally quiet! The location is great with 15 Mon walk to Grande Place or Gare du Midi (useful if you're arriving by Eurostar). Mini fridge available for a deposit which was useful.

United KingdomOur room was very warm. The air conditioning didn't seem to be cooling it. I mentioned it to the receptionist who said to open the window. This was fine when we were in the room, but the window opened onto a fire escape so we couldn't leave it open when we went out. The receptionist also said she'd adjust the air conditioning for us, but even though it showed as 19c on the controller, the room was a lot warmer and never cooled down. We ended up just opening the window when we could which was a bit annoying as I'd specifically looked to book somewhere with aircon.
The location was perfect; close to the main sights and amenities and walkable from the station. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. We'd booked the cosy double but it was plenty big enough for us.

United StatesThe door to the bathroom is made of see-through glass and does not block out any of the noise of the bathroom, so make sure if you book here that you are traveling with someone you are comfortable with :-)
We had to book last-minute as our other lodging fell through. This place was in a nice central area, within easy walking distance of the Grand Place. The bed was very comfortable, has central heating and air that is very efficient. The free coffee and tea was a nice touch, and the staff was very friendly and available 24/7. I like the tiny take a book/leave a book area as well!

LithuaniaThe window opens only to side, thus for safety reasons we couldn't leave it open at night. Thus it was too hot. Our window looked straight to the back stairs of the hotel.
The room was ready earlier than the check-in time. It was pleasant after a long trip.

United KingdomOur room window had a view of the backside of the building with wall and spiral staircase😄. Anyway, didn't book with any specific view option. So that was okay since everything else was perfect inside. Next time I am going to book a room with a street view.
The hotel is located at the very centre of Brussel's one of the prime locations. It's 5 min walk from Manneken Pis and 8 min from the Grand Place. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the room was quite big and value for money. The staffs at reception were very welcoming and cooperative. There are few good cafes around the corner. Had a wonderful night.

United KingdomNothing to dislike
The hotel was excellent and matched the photos seen online, clean and modern. Location was perfect for us - a 15/20 minutes walk from Brussels Midi, and then 10/15 minutes walk in the same direction to the city centre. Towels, shower gel, tea/coffee, and water provided in our room. The shower was very good. The bathroom has a dark frosted glass door so if you're worried about privacy, room 21 is a good option for you. Comfortable bed. We were room 21, which faces inside but kept the sun/heat and noise out. Free tea/coffee in reception, some nice hotel merchandise on sale too. Breakfast was very nice too, served opposite reception.

United KingdomThe bathroom didn't have a door. So when my friend was showering I couldn't walk around the room (and vice versa).
The fact it was all fair trade and eco friendly. The staff were brilliant especially the breakfast staff. Oat milk was there which is wonderful for a vegan. The history of the place is excellent.. they could say more about it.
