Staff were lovely at both checkin and checkout, especially when I left my bags behind to enjoy the rest of the day before my flight. It was a great size room for myself and perhaps any tourist travelling solo for a week. Extremely safe and convenient location, loved the area. I slept really well, the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was big. Wifi was great. It was nice to have the city-view too and just listen to the sounds of the city (loved the live music of the park close by on one morning) when opening the window. Nice lounge area on the ground floor too if you needed to wait for someone or relax a bit.

As other reviews have said, it was a bit out-dated. There was dust all over the desk and shelves, as if it had not been cleaned before I arrived. The TV was malfunctioning throughout my whole stay (nor did any of the options besides the TV channels work). The toilet didn't always flush and I had to fiddle with the handle which was quite bothersome at times. The bathroom could've had more light over the shower as it was dark when the curtain was pulled. Lack of soundproofing, I could often hear fellow guests slamming their doors or having phone calls in the hallway. I was also confused about the room cleaning schedule, some days the staff came to my room at 9am (I had just gotten out of bed) and other days they didn't clean until 3pm. Some days they didn't come at all by the time I came back to the room late afternoon.. for the price I expected a bit better.

Great location, very close to Millenium Park, metro or walk to main streets and avenues. Hostel has a great social area with pool and table tennis table, sofas, etc. Very social place, talked with people and made some friends there. Fridge and microwave are useful. Comfortable for short stays.

Toilette and shower could be separated, it caused some inconvenience when someone was using either of the two. A little busy to use wither of them, had to wait and take turns several times.

Bedrooms were all spacious with very comfortable double beds. Inside the house it was spotless. The owner gave clear instructions on arrival and was on hand if there were any issues (there weren’t any)

Showered weren’t great but ok. When we arrived there was a lot of rubbish outside the house but this was cleared in a day or so.

The photos on Booking.com are totally unrealistic. This is an ugly, rundown hotel, which should be conveyed in the photos. "Breakfast" is the cheapest I've seen. ZERO options for vegetarians and vegans.
