The property is fabulous - everything you could possibly need for a few days relaxing by the Red Sea. But the staff were incredible - we told them we were coming for our honeymoon and everyday they went out of their way to make our trip very special. Also very pleased with the diving !!

Expérience en famille – Test d’hôtel Our arrival at the hotel immediately set the tone: a quick, professional check-in with a warm welcome. A small but much-appreciated gesture: a welcome drink served with a delicate macaron that delighted the whole family. The staff kindly invited us to enjoy breakfast while our rooms were being prepared — a smooth early check-in that allowed us to start our stay on the right foot. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. The selection isn’t enormous, but it’s intentional: every product is fresh, high-quality, well presented, and frequently replenished. At a time when people value quality over quantity, this was exactly what we were looking for. Then, a wonderful surprise: we were upgraded to a swim-up room. Sheer joy on little Henri’s face (and on ours too, to be honest!). The room lived up to the great first impression: spotless, well laid-out, clean, and welcoming. Another lovely detail: the gentleman in charge of housekeeping personally introduced himself and assured us we could reach out to him for anything we needed. That kind of personal touch really makes a difference. Of course, we couldn’t resist a dip in the private pool. Henri jumped right in, and that first moment together in the water was simply perfect. Later on, we walked down a few steps to discover a peaceful little bar beside the adults-only pool — a quiet haven to relax for a while. There, Khalid prepared delicious cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). He even made a special effort for Henri, which truly touched us. Thank you, Khalid! For lunch, we headed to the à la carte Basilico restaurant. The beginning felt a bit off: the ambiance was cooler than the rest of the hotel, and the order taking was a bit confused (dishes before drinks?). We briefly wondered if staff roles were properly coordinated. But quickly, the service picked up pace and warmth. The team stepped in with more flow and friendliness.

My wife and I stayed here as a couple. We're not fans of resorts or noisy family destinations, as we prefer a peaceful vacation, and this place exceeded our expectations. The resort is recently built, and even though it was in soft opening, almost everything was open and functioning. The food quality was good—sometimes even very good—and the fresh seafood was very good as well. The buffet-style restaurants offered high-quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes, and we never encountered crowds. We visited in late November and enjoyed very pleasant weather, ranging from 24°C to 28°C, though it was quite windy, something to keep in mind. The sea was a bit choppy due to the wind, but we were always able to swim, and the water wasn’t dangerous or too cold. The coral reef was beautiful and quite colorful. There are also interesting places nearby for excursions, including a stunning nature reserve close by. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, especially the managers, who demonstrated genuine care for the guests and a high level of professionalism. The younger staff were sometimes a bit inexperienced in guest interactions, but they always showed a very human and sincere side. The housekeeping team was exceptional: the place was spotless, including all the common areas, which is not something you see everywhere. Attention to detail was impressive. On my birthday, the staff worked with my wife to surprise me in our room, even providing a complimentary birthday cake with a personalized message! The pools are very beautiful, though they were cold during our stay. However, I imagine they’re perfect in summer. Some pools were heated, and those were pleasant. The gym was well-equipped and suitable for a workout. Our room was stunning, with an incredibly comfortable king-size bed and a huge, beautiful shower in the bathroom. We had a fantastic and relaxing time overall. I gave a 10 because, on top of that positive experience, the price-quality ratio was unbeatable.

#The hotel: beautiful design # Rooms: clean, distinctive design and a very good view of the sea #The beach (one of the most beautiful beaches of Marsa Alam) is sandy and has no rocks, next to a coral reef area, turtles 🤩 and the rare sea animal Dojong #Restaurants There are 3 restaurants. I loved the design of the beach restaurant, the swimming pool restaurant, the food was delicious, and the main restaurant had a variety of food #The staff: friendly, helpful, fast, comfortable in dealing, special thanks to the staff and manager Hani

Where to start really. First, the welcome comittee at the check-in counter. I was welcomed with a cocktail. They invited me to wait in the very spacious lobby. Second, the rooms. The rooms are sooo spacious, so cosy, tea and coffee, high quality towels, comfortable beds, a splendid view on the pool and the resort. All more than enjoyable. Third, the restaurant. Oh my God. The freshness of the products, the variety of meals, the presentation...put that restaurant at a very high standing level. I have to and must not forget to mention the manager Hassan and his team, not to forget Ali. They are as sweet as the cakes we can taste. They treat you like someone so special. Thank you soooo much !! Fourh, the pool, fresh smelling towels, incredible staff , special dedicace to Abdu :-) This place is Heaven on Earth. I wish i could have been able to stay more than 2 days. I highly highly recommend this resort to anymore who is looking for a sophisticated place mixed with a 'at home' feeling. Thank you to the GREAT management of that resort as well. They are accessible, close to the customers to make your stay something you will never forget. Egypt can be proud to have a place like Amarina Queen . Merci beaucoup 😘😘 je reviendrai. Nadia

Meditative immersion in to the desert and sea. It’s hard to imagine the calmness it will bring to your mind. The host could not be more welcoming, the food could not be more delicious. Good vegetarian options. Amazing snorkelling and diving next door. Can’t wait to come back

The resort is in a good position, it has a large swimming pool area and a nice sandy beach with a large bar. It's possible to swim just from the pier where the reef is very beautiful. In rhe resort it's possible to book several excursions. Food is good and various, typically medio eastern.

Our stay at Portofino Hotel in Marsa Alam was amazing! The staff were always smiling, helpful, and outstanding. The resort facilities, including the food, pools, aqua park, and restaurants, were great. I especially appreciated the assistance provided by Mr. Ali at the reception. He made the check-in and check-out processes smooth and easy. The kids were very happy, and we had an overall fantastic experience. Thank you, Portofino, for this amazing stay. We will definitely be back!

The staff! and the food! Amazing people, honest delicious Egyptian food! Simple stony houses with dessert in front and sea view. Diving school near and amazing snorkeling with turtles. The room was very basic but worth it for the very nice experience for a couple of days. If you want to meet something different than the all inclusive resorts, please go here!

Karim is a wonderful host who instantly made us feel at home :) The food is delicious and was adapted to meet our needs (vegetarian/vegan). The resort is in the middle of nowhere, so it's perfect to relax, a diving centre is nearby but you have the beach mostly to yourself. If you don't expect luxury but need a quiet place to unwind, it's a good choice!
