We have spent great 3 days in Nature's valley and could stay longer: the area offers a lot to explore - from Salt River and Tzitzikami hikes, to the ocean beach as well as excellent Groot River beach with warm shallow waters - perfect for children. The flat is very large, very clean, decorated with a taste and has private entrance and a terrace. Thank you, Ilse, for this experience!

One of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever stayed, the views make you just want to settle on the sofa and not leave. Kind and flexible host. Spacious and well equipped. We even saw an otter in the garden.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy some peace and quiet: you have found it! This cabin is basic, but has everything you need whilst being in the middle of nature. Showering outdoors or watching the starts when you're in the bathroom, it has it all. We enjoyed the bonfire the hosts made for us when we arrived and even spotted monkeys around the cabin in the morning. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

This is an absolute must stay! The farm is unbelievably beautiful, and Michelle and Gary (the owners) are the best hosts you can wish for. The views are breathtaking, and the room (we stayed in the Valley View Room) is beautiful and super clean. The bathroom was a particular highlight. The owners are lovely and so helpful - they really made us feel like we were at home (Gary even helped us with the braai, as both of us were absolute beginners!). If you're passing through this part of South Africa, I highly recommend you stop here. Make sure you're staying enough nights to properly enjoy the property - there are even nice hikes to do from the farm itself. 13/10!!! P.s. the 2 dogs are an added bonus if you like dogs - the best boys you'll ever meet

Everything! A lovely place. We had a lovely garden room where the garden was so nice and pleasant. The premises was lovely with a nice breakfast balcony. The room was very comfortable. The staff were very very nice and helpful. The adjacent restaurant (which belongs to the same owners) was very nice and enjoyable.

You can’t find a better location where you can sit having breakfast and watch whales breaching in the ocean and sea otters enjoying their own breakfast. The opposite end of the day night sky is awesome with virtually no light pollution the milky way is right overhead.

    Beautiful and tranquil surroundings.

Beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Tsitsikamma Lodge in the forest, stunning accommodation. Storms River Village a must to visit, lovely restaurants and starting point for outdoor activities . Enjoyed the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, the guides were so friendly, had loads of fun! Marilyn's 60's Diner - lovey restaurant definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to visit the Wolf Dog Sanctuary Would love to have spent more time there to explore the hidden gems.

    Natures Valley is very special.

Natures Valley is very special. Most other bays in the area are over developed and commercialised. Natures Valley still captures the time when going to the beach was not all about how magnificent your property was. Lets hope it stays that way.

Beautifully picturesque, peaceful, and isolated - Come to 'ERS' if you want to spend all your time on the beach or walking the surrounding short nature paths... All the other well known Tsitsikamma sights & activities are located +- a 25-45km drive away...and sadly the only way into Eersterivierstrand is a very rough and dusty 7km dirt road... not great if you didn't come in an appropriately rugged vehicle... Also, be sure to pack literally EVERYTHING you will need for your stay - incl. drinking water / ice / firewood / food and beach gear... buying something you had forgotten means traveling +-17km (to the thrift shop and back) at the N2 turn-off into Eersterivierstrand...

Kareedouw was a transit point for us driving on Route 62. Beautiful countryside, and experiencing more rural farm country compared to other parts of the Garden Route. I would recommended to drive this part of route 62 in order to see more of farming and rural areas.

Nature´s Valley is by my opinion the most beautiful place along the Garden Route. Quiet, swimming is possible both in The Ocean and in the lagoon. Not crowded at all (like Stormsriver Mouth), with 1 shop and 1 restaurant.

The rooms are spacious and it has stunning views of the sea. Appliances are a bit outdated but it had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend 29@kamma. We were very comfortable. It does not have any tv channels, not even regular SABC channels. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and I would happily return in future. It has a shop about 10 minutes away, a butchery and garage. It was all close by. The Tsitsikamma National park is an half an hour drive away and the Elephant Sanctuary was an hours drive away in Plettenberg Bay. It was well worth the visit. I traveled all over Europe and Asia but this trip was by far the most remarkable.

It's a little dorpie, so not much to do there but Assegaibosch Lodge was amazing. Great property with springboks, horses and blue crane on site for viewing. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Great hospitality from Leandra and the team. A bit of a long drive from the Tsitsikama National Park but definitely worth the drive. Great price point as well.

We just Luv this quaint little town, love that it's in the heart of nature yet it still offers fun adventures for everyone! Absolutely love the peace and quiet, the birds, the forest with stunning views from both mountains and sea. The suspension bridge at Stormsrivier Mouth is a Must See to experience. Marilyn's Diner and Tsitsikamma Village Inn & Hotel always worth a visit with great food, excellent milkshakes and of course the Flame Bistro has the best potato wedges, curries, wines and friendly efficient service. Riding a Sedway through the forest is great fun and the Canopy Tour ziplines has breathtaking views and is a thrilling experience!

I have been travelling to Natures Valley for close on 45 years, and it is still my "heart's place". It is a destination for peace and quiet and even solitariness. wild deserted beaches, walks along rocky coastlines, along tidal estuaries, and there are forest paths to follow. The bird life is excellent, buck and bush pig can be seen and heard in the deep forest, and cheeky vervet monkeys peek out through hedges. There is a "shop" within the village that sells most emergency-type supplies, and a restaurant adjacent. A FABULOUS farmstall is located at the top of the Grootpas road pass (8 kms) up the road, which sells artisanal cheeses, and dairy products and is a MUST to visit for its deli meals.
