Great neighbourhood. I felt safe all the time. Also, its at a large, beautiful but calm beach. Some smaller towns with lovely restaurants are close by, central cape town is a bit over 30min drive.

    Probably the cleanest guest house/hotel we have stayed in whilst visiting South Africa. Gorgeous ocean facing balcony room , helpful friendly manager with a superb team of staff .     We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to the guests. The buffet breakfast was good and had a variety of dishes and catered for everyone. The Wave restaurant was wonderful and had a good vibe.

    Beautiful little village feel.

    Beautiful little village feel. Lovely for a weekend break and the location is picturesque. Big tip: book online at the restaurants before you come. Most places only accept online bookings and they get full really quickly!!

    The area is perfect for Family, or even just a quiet and relaxed time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the restaurants are just downstairs, the beach is a stone through away. The people is friendly, the view is amazing.. definitely one of the best parts of Cape Town.

    Melkbosstrand is a lovely, unpretentious old-fashioned seaside town with a long, firm beach along the Atlantic ocean. There are supermarkets, filling stations, restaurants and coffee bars for each taste and budget. Nearby is a championship golf course and sports centre with Padel and tennis courts. The West Coast offers many attractions and is delightfully open and wild, yet easily accessible from Cape Town and the International airport.

    The host is unfriendly and the facilities poor. Although the location is fantastic, short stays will be less frustrating. There is bore hole water and when the electricity goes off, either because of load shedding or just because, and this happens all the time, there is no emergency lighting (even if the owner have solar) and no water. This venue is not customer focused.
