- From US$179.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsI liked the location of the motel. It was not too far from Lake Placid or the Adirondack Loj for high peaks hiking. The adjacent road consisted of a beautiful car ride alongside the Ausable River and falls. The facility and rooms were both clean and updated and had a wonderful cabin-like feel. The office had an assortment of games to borrow for added fun. No one was present at check-in, but the guest's last names were posted with the accompanying room number on the TV screen in the office. No keys or cards were needed to enter your room as it was a number pad preprogrammed to the last 4 digits of your phone...NICE! There were 2 pools onsite...a kiddie pool with fountain and the other with a diving board (and a surprisingly 9-foot depth). Both well maintained. A community fire pit was located in back between the motel and river. It was definitely a pet friendly motel with supplied waste removal bags.Guest review byJudithUnited States
- From US$126.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 176 reviewsThe location of the hotel is excellent, very close to town centre and lake, yet having a peaceful and quite vibe. Most importantly I likely how the manager of the property and the staff addressed every need at a short notice and offered the best service. When I reached Lake Placid, I realised when booking I had made mistake by booking the wrong room type. The Manager, Yuri communicating through whataspp came up with a very good and effective solution and my stay was enjoyable and without any issues. The quality of room is very good and clean. The contactless check-in process works very well and is surprising convenient and also hassle free.Guest review byAbhijitHong Kong

She is a real gem. When she realized it was our first visit, she gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy. We also liked the nightly fire pits and got to meet alot of people from all over.Guest review byJaneUnited States

We should have known that Lake Placid would be full of tourists. This is not our favorite type of destination, but it was a convenient stopping point as we returned to Ohio from Canada. The Adirondacks are beautiful and there are many hiking trails to explore in the area. If we were in this area again, I would stay in Saranac and drive to the parts of the Adirondacks I am interested in. It is a less touristy town, but still offers good dining and hiking options. What we appreciated about the Devlin was that it was not fancy and was located on the edge of town. If you like Gatlinburg, you'll love Lake Placid.Guest review byGlenUnited States - 10.0

We stayed in Saranac Lake to be close to Lake Placid and High Peaks hiking as well as to be centrally located for the Adirondack bike trail. We did rent bikes in town and ride on the trail, which is beautiful and wasn’t overly crowded.Guest review byCherylUnited States - 10.0
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village.
Beautiful Ausable River runs in the heart of the village. Water is clean enough to take a dip and there is a waterfall which makes for a great hang-out spot. Restaurants abound for breakfast and dinner, would recommend the Hungry Trout resort restaurant for a delicious dinner with river views and great service. Activities include riverside hikes and swims in the summer, and skiing in the winter. We will be back.Guest review byVictoriaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise.
Great place for long hikes and challenging exercise. Although not super high compared to French Alps, the mountains are pretty challenging. The region is really relaxing and a great place to rest from busy city life. Highly recommend to go on top of Big Slide which has magnificient views. If you are hiking in colder season, make sure to rent or buy a good pair of microspikes as they are absolutely necessary to hike on top of mountains. The high peaks information center was really friendly and gave very good information about conditions and required equipment. Make sure to visit them or call them before a hike.Guest review byThomasUnited States - 6.0

Its a small town with one of everything - gas station, restaurant, grocery store, bar etc. Everything is pricey with limited choices. There is nothing one can do here. Its just a place to stay. Some landmarks are close by. That's the best part.Guest review byRaja ShekharUnited States - 10.0

This town is unique in the travelers and hikers you meet from all over the world. There’s hikes for every level, as well as endless outdoor activities. Having no cell service can be a pain, but it’s also a nice way to disconnect. I hear it’s getting more crowded, but there’s lots of outdoor activities to do on dates that are less popular. Lots of good restaurants too.Guest review byHaleyUnited States - 10.0

This was the best trip, just beautiful. Plenty to see and do, good food, able to walk to everything in town. Really enjoyed Revolutuon Rail Co, Lake placid pub and Brewery and Smoke Singals. We really liked shopping at Critters shop, those ladies were so sweet!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month.
This is our second trip to Saranac in a month. Went out for the ice castle earlier in the month and back more recently for college tour in a nearby town. Blue Moon Café is fabulous and the nearby brew pubs a great way to end the day. Enjoyed stopping into a few of the shops on historic Main Street, Adirondack Hamlets to Huts https://adkh2h.org/shop/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=local&utm_content=website-button and the music store Ampersound. Appreciated the free public parking right on Main Street as well!Guest review byThomasUnited States - 10.0
