Sarasota is a very modern, clean, contemporary city. It has a wonderful waterfront and many parks. The waterfront is very walkable with much to see as far as unique architecture, beautiful water views on the bays and many fantastic high rise high rise buildings to admire. It has some of the best beaches in FL. The city is very easy to get around, ride shares are easy to get. There are many great restaurants with many choices. The city has many cultural and educational benefits: many colleges, a symphony, a ballet troupe, and 4 theaters with unique current plays. The Ringling Museum is a must to see, there are a number of first class performance halls, a zoo, an aquarium, a modern art museum, botanic garden, zoo, great shopping, etc., etc. You will really like Sarasota, it has something for everyone: adults, children, people that love beaches, boats, the sun, culture, good food, etc. We stayed one week and we really needed 2 to do all of the great attractions.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0

Was a wonderful experience! This was the cleanest little hotel we stayed in. The front desk staff were so accommodating and very, very friendly! We will stay here again!! The pool was very clean and wonderful. The location if the hotel was close to the major tourist attractions around the area. I would highly recommend the America's Best Value Inn. Venice is a beautiful city.
Venice is a beautiful city. The people are so friendly, and from where we stayed (Banyan House B&B) everything we planned was within a 5 - 10 mile trip. The Farmer's Market to Historic Venice was within walking distance. We took nightly walks after eating at delicious venues like Waterfrontoo and Pinchers. Along our walk we saw gorgeously historic homes. I could imagine retiring in the Venice area. On Sunday morning, we visited Christ Venice Church, where we met a team of the most friendly people in the State of Florida. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time here. We live in the Tampa Bay area and discovered Siesta Key about 20 years ago. We loved it then and were so happy to come back and stay again for the holiday weekend. The beach is as beautiful as it was when we first experienced it. The little village has grown with lots more restaurants and shops on offer. We loved the market, which was convenient for picking up groceries, and the liquor store was just next door. Clean water/sand. Sunset views were spectacular. The temperature of the water was perfect, maybe too warm. There were both families and couples. Very tranquil. Music that was playing was pleasant and at the proper volume. We enjoyed the Bridge Street shops. We stayed for 3 nights at a beach front resort. The views were spectacular and the beach was steps away from our door. The condo had puzzles, games, books, chairs, and everything was renovated. It was a great stay. We enjoyed the Mote Aquarium, Harry’s Kitchen, Tyler’s Ice cream, and Lazy lobster. Worst bed I ever experienced in a property. Described as beachfront, but had a tiny sliver of beach on the bayside that was unusable for beach chairs and umbrella. There were cockroaches in the living room. Property had a dangerous step down from the bedroom to the living room.
