FAQs about hotels in New Jersey
The Authentic American Experience
The American Garden State, New Jersey is famous for at least a few things: its central location between New York and Philadelphia, a great coastline with wide beaches and natural sites, and as the birthplace to some of the world’s most famous musicians: Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen.
Natural parks with thriving wildlife and watersports opportunities along the Atlantic coast are more than enough to tempt any outdoor activities lover. Added to the mix are amusement parks, spectator sports venues and many historic sites. But New Jersey is more than just the sum of its parts.
The state where the light bulb, drive-in movie and zip originated from (not to mention cranberry sauce and ice cream cones!), New Jersey has a unique atmosphere, where the legends of the Jersey Devil and the stories of the mafia Five Families go hand in hand.
If you’re after a real American food experience, visit one of over 600 traditional diners, all serving typical grilled and breakfast-style dishes. And by the way, no other place in the world has more diners than New Jersey!
So if you like Jersey best, visit Booking.com before flying off to Newark or Trenton airports. From cheap hotels near New York to motels on the road to Atlantic City, Booking.com has over 500 New Jerseyan properties on offer.

- From US$291.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 471 reviewsWe stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is amazing! It is one of the cleanest hotels we stayed at in USA. Congrats to the housekeeping teams. We did appreciate the individual bottles for shampoo, lotion and all that stuff. I personally think it’s more hygienic that way than pouring some products from a larger bottle to a smaller one on the wall. Kudos for that! The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel at home. There is an EV charger at the hotel but you won't be able to use it if your phone is not activated on US market as you need a special app that was not available for our Europe enabled iPhones. Even though from what I understood the actual usage of the charger is free of charge for Hotel customers.Guest review byAlex AstileanRomania

When you explore places outside of the Boardwalk, the aquarium, the outlets, and the great mom-and-pop shops and eateries, especially when you desire organic or higher-quality foods, it is a beautiful city. My wife and I will be spending many more vacation trips there.Guest review byKTUnited States - 10.0

I've been going to Wildwood since I was a kid took my kids there every year for a week but this experience with this motel has been very upsetting as they blamed me for booking thru their website with a 3td party they supposedly are not affiliated with . Very bad tasteGuest review byPatricia - 2.0

By far the worst experience of my life! I've traveled around the world for the last 50 years, but I had never experienced such a terrible experience as I did at the Howard Johnson EWA ! I strongly recommend you eliminate that hotel from the listing!Guest review byHiro ShibuyaJapan - 10.0

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.Guest review byCornelius - 10.0

Its changing quite a bit. Miss all the older hotels that were there throughout my childhood and growing up with my family and my own kids. In my 70s now disappointed with all the riff raff thats going there now.Guest review bypeteUnited States - 10.0

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.Guest review byReyesUnited States - 10.0

Nice secure area, mind the pavements they may be bumpy (though getting fixed from time to time), close to NYC, tunnel takes its time but was never extreme, nice small neighborhoods, great view on NYC, nice shopping (mall, low price shops, dine-in)Guest review byVividAustria - 8.0
Seaside Heights is a good place for families.
Seaside Heights is a good place for families. The boardwalks and beaches are clean and safe. There is a beach where dogs can go, south of the boardwalk. It's not that far of a drive and we're glad our puppy could go. Recommend getting up early to catch the sunrise.Guest review byJennifer - 10.0

We have been going to Cape May for thirty years. We love it here! There’s always something new to do and wonderful old favorites to enjoy. The beach is always a big draw. We continue to love shopping, going to restaurants, eateries, wineries, and more.Guest review byLisa - 4.0
It was a good location.
It was a good location. Advertised as fully equipped kitchen, but there was nothing in the kitchen area. We had to ask for a coffee pot and coffee. Breakfast was very sparse - a granola bar and small muffin. Room was very dated, I.e., cabinet doors falling off, shower over tub.Guest review byAnonymous
