amazing people, amazing interior, best stay during our trip in Zanzibar. next time must have is to take an option with included breakfast, we were sad that we did not choose this option. room nr. 1 was amazing, our best recommendations to our friends and everyone. super location, you can walk for few hours, than come back and go for a walk again, because everything is very close and you do not need to leave the hotel for all day.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

I could say many things about this amazing property, starting with the beautiful rooms and the constant assistance by its super kind staff but to be honest I was particularly impressed by the location that is a real wonder of nature: this place is a paradise. I was upgraded in a Suite and I could enjoy one of the best sunset I can remember in recent times, not to mention the pristine beach. One special mention to the chef who assisted us personally and prepared some unforgettable Italian "spaghetti ai frutti di mare"!

The most spectacular place I have stayed at during my visit to Zanzibar. Did not realise the room did not have it's private bathroom upon booking, but that was not a problem at all, since this hotel is so convenient, clean and well kept. Local soap bars that were gifted to us was such a pleasant surprise, as well as delicious welcome drinks, incredible breakfast. Could not recommend this place enough, how pleased we were with everything.

The first impression was the staff, really smiley and friendly Than they made our stay even more special by upgrading our room as we were celebrating our honeymoon, we enter and we see the bed full of flowers and the aircon on so we would feel a cold air from the extreme heat outside The pool area was so cosy and well designed The breakfast was excellent and one of the best breakfast buffet I've ever experienced This hotel and the staff know hospitality and make the guest feel special The restaurant had amazing chefs and the sunset views from the restaurant are magical

Great location, great facilities, friendly staff. They offer the hotel facilities for the guests after check-out, including the swimming pool and the changing room, which is absolutely great for those with late flights like me.     We stayed one night at Kholle House and absolutely love it. This hotel is beautifully decorated and it's so clean. Love love the rustic feels. What impressed me the most is the hotel smells so fresh. There is so much wooden furniture but it smells so fresh, none of that musty smell. And the bed, oh my god, we had such a good sleep. And the water pressure in the shower is fantastic. Breakfast at the courtyard is really nice. And each floor there is something to discover. We stayed at the top floor and there is a staircase to the rooftop. We love this. It's so pretty up here. Staff are really friendly and accomodating. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! What you see in the picture is exactly how it is.

    This hotel was superb. It was even nicer than I expected. The building is gorgeous and historical. The location is perfect, little winding street in Stone town a few streets away from the water which was nice and quieter than right on the water. The roof top was amazing! The breakfast provided many options with a stunning breezy atmosphere. Great restaurant options and cocktails as well. The room was spotless and very large, exceptionally comfortable.

    Activities are great but most places are teeming with tourists. It's probably better to be taken for activities privately (price will be about the same anyways). Better to book through existing tour operators because the freelance guides always add extra onto the price. Night Food market is a must but be careful not to be ripped off, they just handed you plates of food & then charged a ridiculous amount afterwards. Cape Town Fish Market is a must for a sunset dinner. Prison Island & Nakupenda was average, they were overrun with people. The Spice Farms & Slave Chambers are a must to understand the passed history & Coral Caves have stunning natural pools to swim in deep underground. The North has Mnemba Island, great for snorkeling. The East is windy & good for Kite Surfing. The South is supposed to be good for deepsea fishing but myself & another group only caught white Snapper, no Game Fish.

    Very busy city, lots of traffic & motor cycles. Communication was slow . Very expensive place . Couldn’t find any malls. Lots of tourists . Very interesting shopping at indoor malls & buying fruit off the street. Lots of negotiations for the USD .

    Zanzibar is an amazing destination.

    Zanzibar is an amazing destination. Don't just go to the beaches also visit the villages and learn the culture. Try Sea Walk and Quad Bike is a must. Don't leave Zanzibar without going to Mnemba Island for Dolohines best sighting. In stone town don't miss Stone Town Cafe for their Hearty Beef Burger they call it Sandwitch. At night just stick to Forodhani for all kinds of food.
