FAQs about hotels in Phuket Province
Idyllic Island of International Fame
Thailand’s largest island, Phuket has a mountainous landscape leading down to lush, green palms, warm, turquoise seas and soft, golden sands. Patong is its most developed resort and is well known for outrageous nightlife. There are lots of clubs, bars and restaurants in the main town and it also has a fantastic beach lined with hotels and resorts.
To the south is Karon, home to the 2nd largest beach and offshore coral reefs that are good for snorkelling. Quieter Kamala also has coral reefs and good surfing conditions, as do the curved beaches at Kata.
The island’s airport is in the north and there are lots of Phuket hotels near the airport in Mai Khao and Nai Yang, where sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. In Bangtao to the south there is a great range of Phuket hotels with private pools on Booking.com, while around the corner in exclusive Surin there are often typical Thai long boats bobbing up and down in the rolling waves.
On the other side of the island Chalong has an impressive Buddhist temple and is a popular spot for kitesurfing. Neighbouring Panwa has shallow water coral and the Phuket Aquarium to explore. The Phi Phi islands are off Phuket’s eastern shores and their idyllic scenery makes wonderful day trips.

- From £115.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,886 reviewsWe had a chance to live in both Club Room with sea-view and Coral Room. Club rooms are way better than just usual Coral rooms. They are cleaner, bigger, the view is magnificent, but they also seem to be newer, as the safe, the sewer system, the shower and even windows seem to be a bit old in Coral Room; the dishes were dirty and old. We also saw a dead cockroach, but Club Rooms don't have any of these disadvantages. The location of this hotel is great if you are planning mainly hotel vacation, because it's quite far from the beach, as well as from the town, and the bridge to hotel is very steep. The whole territory is hilly, but it's okay, since one can take a free ride home from the lobby. We never had to wait for more than like 1-2 minutes. The view from the Clubhouse is just breathtaking, highly recommend going there during happy hour or just during the day. A typical hotel evening routine might look like this: go to the Clubhouse during happy hour, drink a few cocktails and enjoy the great view over the sea and Patong bay, then proceed down the hills to Rim Talay restaurant to experience nice buffet offers with Sea Food or Indian Cuisine, spend the rest of the night there, looking at the bay, sitting right next to the sea :)Guest review byStanislavUkraine
- From £267.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 709 reviewsevery single thing about our stay here was amazing. from the moment we arrived it was perfect. they had all the little details covered and we are now inspired and on a mission to stay at as many banyan trees around the world as we can. our room was magical, we decided we will design our next house similar with the pool right as you open the door you step out into it. we liked the fact that someone came and prepared our room for bed time. with a treat, mozzie trap, slippers by the bed and bed drawn back. such a sweet thing to do. our dinner was absolutely perfect. they let us pick which table we wanted during the day. it was my partners birthday and the waiter came with cake and sang happy birthday. he was so wonderful. the gym! wow wow wow. never seen a gym set up like this before. they even run sessions (trx, yoga ect). can’t recommend this place enough.Guest review byjemma-janeAustralia

Very big and modern hotel. The room was a little bit noisy but didn’t bother me at all. They give us a shower opportunity before we live so we enjoyed the beach at the last day of our Phuket stay. Thank you guys, you are all very good people and very professional and i’ll come back to hotel again.Guest review bycigdem deryaTurkey

Staff attentive to details and very helpful. Resort is full of small details that make the stay special - fruits in the room, complimentary small refreshers served at the swimming pool area periodically, impeccable cleanliness. Alessandro was of great hospitality, took us to the swimming pool area and offered drinks while we were waiting for the check-in - great touch and amazing service. Overall - kudos to the Team, I am looking forward to be back. Don’t even mention how beautiful the site is.Guest review byAlekseiHong Kong

The line of restaurants was really nice but regarding the beach, it’s over crowded with agents trying to sell beach activities so there wasn’t a peaceful space where you could just chill and actually go take a swim at the beach which was a bit disappointingGuest review byNatashaUnited Arab Emirates - 8.0

Sun (the manager) and his amazing team treat you like family instantly and you honestly feel that the hotel is your Thai home. My family and I will never forget the wonderful facilities, food and warm feeling we received from everybody at the Pacific Club. My sons wanted me to mention Ron and Joso who made their stay by always stopping for a chat. I could not recommend to a family a better hotel in Phuket. Each evening you can ask reception to organise a tuk tuk to take you to Karon main strip for a couple of pound and on a Tuesday and Friday there is a fantastic night market at the temple. Well worth checking out. The best places to eat (apart from thd lovely menu at the hotel) are the tiny restaurants down the side streets. The ones with 2 or 3 tables and plastic chairs where you can see the chef. We ate some of the best food of our lives for unbelievable prices. Leaving a tip in these places goes a long way!Guest review byhazelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kata is a lovely beach There are some expensive hotels that are directly fronting the beach and so their staff clean the beach each day. Beach chairs are available but not so many that they cannot be avoided if you just want to walk on the beach. At the time of year I was there the main activity was surfing at the southern end with many people taking lessons. Some nice cafes right on the beach at the southern end which is the nicest part.Guest review byJeremyAustralia - 10.0

There is a village feel to Kamala Beach, you can easily walk to shops, restaurants etc. Lots of local stalls for drinks, food, massages, sun loungers etc right on the beach. Later in the day beach volleyball is very popular - casual horseriding, jet skis, surfing and parasailing available. Some walkways/footpaths along the beach restaurant areas have been upgraded in the past 2 years - so much easier. There are now 3 supermarkets on the main road. This area is very popular with something for everyone. Our absolute favourite area in Phuket.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 8.0

Go along where the restaurants and people are as it's the nicest there, or a tiny bit farther south along the shore. Closer to the airport and national park, the beach is very dirty and full of rubbish, although you can watch the airplanes take off. I loved eating at The Beach Restaurant Nai Yang. Right on the beach and reasonable prices.Guest review byJacquelineNew Zealand - 8.0

I always looked fwd to going down to the beach to get a great massage, free loungers & friendly people. Alot of new development happening around the area, but lots of little shops & restaurants to visit & a great tattooist - Shark tattoo Be careful of some of the taxis though, outside the supermarket they tried to charge twice the amount as they could see we were tourists. We used Grab the whole time we were there.Guest review byCharmaineNew Zealand - 10.0
I have been going to Rawai for 25 Years.
I have been going to Rawai for 25 Years. I even bought land there. Its great as there are many beaches and restaurants, with Nai Harn very close a 5 Star Beach. There are many places of interest nearby, unfortunately Big Buddha is currently closed. One thing to note now is that the Banks won't let you take money from your Debit Card, Credit cards are O.K though, but I don't use them. Every where uses cash so make sure you take plenty of cash to last for your holiday. The ATM machine withdrawals will cost you £10 a withdrawal with a limit of £200. Average Restaurant meal costs around £25 for 3 people inc. soft drinks. I always hire a car, but services have improved with regular electric buses and always taxis/tuktuks,Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0
