I regularly go there, because I had basically good experiences. I can see lots of improvements in recent years: The rooms and especially the bathroom has been rebuilt, renewed for instance. This time the receptionist spoke perfect English, we immediately had a nice conversation. The room was causy, the wifi perfect, TV programs perfect and the bed was very comfortable too. The breakfast is rich and awesome (unfortunately I cannot it too much for breakfast :) )! All in all I recommend it to everyone!

The hotel totally exceeded our expectations. It's a true, huge castle with long history and absolutely beautiful restoration. A real dream wedding place and we already want to go back. One night was too short. They were also very welcoming to our small dog and there was even a sleeping bed for her in the room with the castle's embroidery on it.

Excellent stay in a beautiful mountain-top setting! The whole experience was outstanding - from super comfy beds and perfect rooms to the beautiful pool and sunbathing area! The breakfast spread was so well prepared and had a lot to choose from. We also used the SPA, which was very clean, well-maintained and relaxing.     We really enjoyed the whole hotel building, its cleanliness and communication skills and approach by the employees at the reception and in the hotel restaurant. Great variety of food.     Everything was fine but looks like Booking system made a mistake and for some reason I had reservation on my end but the place even thou confirmed could not find them and had no room reserved under my name and empty. Good thing is that they found a replacement and offered us that. All went good.

    I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice...

    I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice castle in the center. Just few meters from the castle there is a restaurant. Small but looking good but without booking table no possible to eat there. We had some issue to find a restaurant in the evening. Lot of them are open till 16:00 however if someone wants to find a cafe/bar etc there will be no any issue with this. I can fully recommend restaurant "Ristorante Moretti"

    I absolutely loved this property!

    I absolutely loved this property! The owner was incredibly helpful and always available whenever we needed assistance. It was immaculate and cozy, the location was ideal, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. Every facility exceeded my expectations.

    I enjoyed staying in Komarno, as it is generally a lovely town, with an excellent location, with nice history, very tasty food and excellent weather. People are friendly and helpful and there are various things to do including visiting various hot and cold mineral spring baths which are very healthy. I highly recommend visiting Komarno and same time other close by towns in Slovakia and Hungary.

    Patince used to be a nice recreational area....but those times are gone! The whole place is in decay, no one cares about the roads, sidewalks, many places are abandoned and crumbling. It feels old and dirty

    Historic sites in town but not well presented - most buildings in the castle complex could only be viewed from outside. Unable to find a good place to eat - no-one (including tourist information staff) able to think of a restaurant offering "Slovak' cuisine!

    Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy...

    Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy Esztergom in Hungary and it is very plain in comparison. Being in Slovakia it is a cheaper place to stay or to shop. The centre of the town is very quiet in the evenings with just some dimly lit bars and few places serving food. This part of Slovakia is very run down with many buildings abandoned and in advanced decay. The lanes around the town are despoiled by rampant fly tipping on an industeial scale.

    Very green, small but lovely city center, walks along the river Danube or kilometres of cycling path heading north along the river Vah. The city fortress, long abandoned and needing some reconstruction, but spectacular to walk through.

    Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. Nitra is important for Slovaks because of its history, Christian (sacral) architecture and of course, agricultural studies and trade fairs. I was surprised to also see a Synagogue, which is in a very good condition. It has a unique Moorish and Art Nouveau style. I recommend also a walk up the small hill to see the Calvary and enjoy the view at the whole Nitra. There is a lovely vegan and vegetarian place (open only 11.00-14.00) in the Nitra centre on the Farska street, I ate their main course as well as falafels, delicious! Last but not least, it's good to go for a walk next to the nitra river, it's pleasant
