- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 418 reviewsI thoroughly enjoyed the novelty of this place. The rooms are terraced along a steep hillside, and serviced by a cable car. I stayed on the top level (4th). Ride the car up, and then walk back down the meandering paths, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Great views of the town and ocean from private balcony. The rooms themselves are simple and budget - but overall the setting and location is perfect.Guest review byPaulAustralia

Tourism here is quite undeveloped compared to other Pacific countries but I found Karen at Iumi Tour Solomons excellent. She arranged a couple of day tours when I was stranded in Honiara due to frequently changed flight schedules. Allow for things to go wrong and it is a wonderful experience if a little gritty.Guest review byLinziNew Zealand - 10.0

I was there to visit the US Marine Corps battle sites: Edson's Ridge, Alligator Creek, Battle of Henderson Field, and others. There's a lot to see in 1 week, so plan in advance what you want to see - and get in shape to hike in the heat. These are real jungle battlefields, and with luck you'll find relics and remnants.Guest review byAndrewUnited States - 8.0

Not set up for independent tourists, it's still possible to go and arrange thing yourself. i hired a banana boat to take me to Roderick Bay to see the wreck of the World Discoverer with a stopover in Tulagi. There's no a lot to do in the main centre so get away from the dust and see a bit of the island. The dive shop is shut for walk-in business, but i was told to ring to arrange something. The beach at Bonegi is worth the visit for snorkeling on the WW2 wreck. The Sugar Plum restaurant in the Art Gallery is good cheapish food. Next door is a path to take you to a more upmarket and excellent breakfast cafe called the Breakwater. There's a sign outfront.Guest review byMarkAustralia
