- From £18.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 152 reviewsStayed in this simple little cabin on the ocean shore for 3 nights. At first we weren't too sure as it's a small cabin but it quickly became apparent what it lacked in size it made up for it in comfort. You can cook, you can have a good shower (cold) comfortable bed and an amazing relaxing veranda with stunning views. This is a peaceful resort so you won't hear no music, party people or any of the nonsense. You will need a motorbike if you like to get around as this is a little remote and you like seeing a bit of the island, or go to a shop. Took us about 25 minutes to get from siquijor port by motorbike in relaxed cruising mode. Motorbike you can rent straight at the port and is around 350 per day, we haggeled it too 300 a day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can buy a 6 gallon jug of water on site and off course a few beverages. Beach is really nice, do bring water shoes like everywhere else in the Philippines it's a bit rocky in the water. You can rent snorkeling gear at the reception. Overall a great stay if you are laid back and don't need many luxuries. I would definitely go back there any day but be aware you will get mosquitos coming at you.Guest review byKees-Jan BraamIreland
- From £46.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 125 reviewsThe pool, the views, the food, but mostly - the people! The owners and the team working there were just INCREDIBLE! The owners sing a few times a week during dinner. As a solo traveller they ensured they introduced me to other guests so I wasn’t alone. They organised a scooter brought to the hotel for me so I didn’t have to go searching, gave me shortcuts around the island and great advise on where to go and visit. A little outside the town but for me that was much better! Most places on this island you need a scooter for anyway!Guest review byRachaelIreland

The road works and roads are an absolute mess with ongoing roadworks happening. The prices of food and drinks are very high almost double what I pay on the mainland. Some very nice travel and exploreing to do if you can hire a bike. Getting there and back is very easy. The beaches though around siquijor are very polluted with garbage and seaweed and not very inviting to swimGuest review byAlexanderPhilippines - 8.0

San Juan, Siquijor is about a 30-45 min trip from the Port of Siquijor. At the time of this writing, a P1,500.00 tricycle tour charge rate (capacity is comfortable for two persons - but may add more people, depending on the person's size, the skill of the tricycle driver and more importantly, his (or her) approval for the total payload, as the driver has to maneuver a few steep climbs. We got ours from the Port, right after the ferry ride from Dumaguete City. The P1,500.00 charge starts the moment you agree to the rate, up to the time you tell the driver you had enough. Do not waste time finding a cheaper rate as it is standard. People of Siquijor will not cheat you so you would not be charged more even if you are tourists. Siquijor is generally a tranquil place, depends where you actually booked (far from he noise), but I think its just overrated as the beach where we were taken was filled up with seaweeds - harmless but nonetheless, irritating (we could not help compare it with the sandbar experience we had in Bais, Dumaguete - in this sense). But don't get me wrong, the beach we went to was clean. We just did not like the idea of getting seaweeds over our heads when you get off from the warm sea. For us, the overnight was good enough just to see the island and experience the people, but of course if you plan to stay longer, then you may do so - really just depends on what you like. The people are friendly and nobody forces you to buy anything or approaches you and make you feel uncomfortable. Would I go back? For sure I would - after seeing the other island paradises my Motherland has to offer of course!Guest review byMICHAELAustralia - 10.0

San Juan is a really nice location well located to visit the all island! Diving with turtles going to the waterfalls ! We found local small restaurant 109 food corner - the food was amazing, snorkeling in Sawang point beach to see sea turtles! The waterfalls were really nice It was for far the best island we did !Guest review byCeliaFrance - 8.0
Authentic, pleasant, unspoilt, attractive island.
Authentic, pleasant, unspoilt, attractive island. The island previously went to much effort to build steps and viewing tower at the highest point to view the whole island, sadly it has been much neglected. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A scenic island with unspoilt beauty spots and back to simple natural life. So relaxing and good value for money.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom
